Okay. So I'm sure I done goofed. I was in the middle of painting a Death Watch, Space Wolf for one of my friends back east(I hailing from the west coast of America). The model it self came out beautfule. The problem was when I let my artistic side run wild(let the goofing start). I had an extra swamp base from Secret Weapons. The base has a raised lip to allow for the painter to add a bit of water effect (I think we see where I may be going here)... So I painted up the base, and even added a bit of texture with some GW texture mud. Then I matchesd the Space Wolf's feet to show just how long the poor old boy had been slugging through the swamp. It looked amasing(so my wife, and a few friends told me anyway). Then I added a water effect that I had never tried before. Testors Glass and window maker... It applies foggy(like watered down elmers), then drys clear. The Wolf in place I put in the water effect, but now I'm worried. It's the next morning and its is still foggy towards the bottem. Has anyone used the method before? Should it take this long to get clear? If I end up having to remove the model from the base(for the love of all things no!) is there a better product/ method to use for water effects?

Thanks You!

I prefer 'woodland scenics-water effect' or 'vallejo-still water' but yeah they can get misty. It's a moisture/humidity thing.
Did you ensure that the base was fully dry before applying, I like to give mine a few days. Put it somewhere warm and dry for a few days and it should clear up.
