So I just got back into playing and the group I play with has most of the armies. I recently played against Tau and won. I didn't know I would be playing Tau. It wasn't a clean sweep or anything but it was a victory. His army was standard Tau but had that moving wall with the crazy cannon and one of those Stormsurges! Here is my list:

Fast Attack:
3x Ravenwing Bike Squads (each has 3x bikers, grav guns {never used them before now}) (Veteran Sgts) (Melta bombs)
1x Ravenwing Bike Squad (3x bikers, Grav guns, 1x Attack Bike (MM), and 1x Landspeeder (Typhoon and MM))
1x Black Knight Squad (6x knights, 1 GL, and MB on Sgt)
Elites:
1x Ravenwing Command Squad (6x knights, Apothecary, Champion, 1 GL, RW Company Banner)
HQ:
Librarian (lvl2, Bike, Shroud of heroes, Force Ax)
Sammael (Jet Bike)

So Sammy was with the Command Squad, Libby was on his own, speeder was on one side of the map while the Atk bike was on the other. Black Knight came up the middle and all the bike squads were camming down one side. I did this to try and split up his fire. It worked. The Command Squad didn't last the 1st round but Sammy lasted til the end. The Libby soaked A LOT of fire throughout the game and won MVP. He just roamed and Wormed all the big stuff and did clean up. I took out the Stormsurge 1st turn! I shot everything I had at it and the last wound was from the (RAD) charge. I rolled a 6! Turn 3 started a lot of Hit-n-Runs from my bikers. Not to mention a lot of over running by my Libby.
All in all it was a fun game.
What are yall's thoughts?

Exactly what feedback are you looking for?

Generally, two HQ in 1500 points is one too many, and Sammael is more like one and a half HQ. For 200 points you could have five more Black Knight models; usually the better deal.

Land Speeders can't join bike squads. Are you using the 6th edition codex? Attack Bikes are more useful by themselves as single-model units for nabbing objectives. Veteran Bike Sergeants aren't worth the points; they've only one weapon.

Split the six model Black Knight squad into two units of three. But keep the Command Squad six models. If you need points you can drop the Ravenwing Banner, but keep it if you have the points.

Ok. I used Battle Scribe to build that list. It had the option for the land speeder. I can't remember if I had a single one or if it was an option for a unit.
The Speeder and Attack Bike were solo units.
I see what you mean in having two HQ's in 1500 points.

What are the thoughts on the RW Champion?
Also, If I plan on the Libby running around Solo, should I even take the Command Squad?

Would a CAD force allow me to take Dreadnaught options?

Don't run the Libby around solo. he's an obvious first target.

Yes a CAD would allow Dreadnoughts but 100% Ravenwing is more competitive. If you do use a CAD, use Scouts as Troops.

RW Champion is fine either way. Helpful to have another Character to protect HQ from Challenges, but if that 5 points gets you another model do that instead.

Make sure you're using the 2015 Dark Angels Catalog File in Battlescribe. Yes they're fine as solo units. Keep Heavy Bolter on Typhoon Land speeder -- you want each model's weapons to overlap range and favorite targets.

My opinon, also after getting help from the guy above me.

Dont take shroud of heros, its kinda silly, put the lib in the command squad.

IMO what i would also look at doing, run at least 1 dark shroud and have it follow your command squad around, for 85 points it will give them a rerollable 2+ cover save, and has a 2+ rerollable itself.

Also exactly what Axis said for the champion, they are really good to have in fights.

Keep the command squad, they are really good to have, and take a GL launcher as well for the stasis granades.

Thank you for the feedback! I don't currently have a Duskshroud or any of the special RW vehicles at this time. So, using what models I do have:

HQ: Librarian (lvl 2)
- Bike
- Mace of Redemption
- Auspex

Elite: RW Command Squad
- 6 BK
- 1 GL
- Apothecary
- Champion
- RW Banner

Fast Attack:
4x RW Bike Squad
- 2x Grav Guns
- MB on Sgt

2x RW BK Squad
- 6 BK
- MB on Huntmaster

RW Attack Bike
- MM

RW Landspeeder Typhoon
- HB
- TML

I will Combat squad the two 6 man BK squads. This gives me a lot of powerful fire and good CC! Thanks for the advice guys! I believe this will be my 'standard' for RW
