Hey mates. While I would like to do a pure Inquisition Army again sometime in the future, current goal is to get a detachment of them done to ally in with my Space Marines, Militarum Tempestus, Imperial Guard, or for the fun of it, more Inquisition. This is the Detachment I current have at the moment so let me know what you think.

+ Inquisitor Solomon Lok:
-w/ Major Markus Durra, 7x Acolytes w/Storm Bolters, 3x Acolytes with Plasma Guns, Flak Armor
- Chimera w/Searchlight, DB, Heavy Bolter Turret and Hull-Mounted Heavy Bolter, Psybolt Ammunition

+ Warband Alpha:
-w/9x Acolytes with Storm Bolters, 3x Acolytes with Plasma Guns, Flak Armor
- Chimera w/Searchlight, Heavy Bolter Turret and Hull-Mounted Heavy Bolter, Psybolt Ammunition

+ Warband Delta:
-w/9x Acolytes with Storm Bolters, 3x Acolytes with Plasma Guns, Flak Armor
- Chimera w/Searchlight, Heavy Bolter Turret and Hull-Mounted Heavy Bolter, Psybolt Ammunition

+ Warband Ghost:
-w/9x Acolytes with Storm Bolters, 3x Acolytes with Plasma Guns, Flak Armor
- Chimera w/Searchlight, Heavy Bolter Turret and Hull-Mounted Heavy Bolter, Psybolt Ammunition

Total: 750 points

Not too shabby for an Allied Detachment. Am tempted to give my guys Carapace Armor though for the extra toughness but that is debatable as it depends on the game. One option however, is to swap out the Chimera and some of the Acolytes for a Razorback with the Lascannon and Plasma Gun Weaponry. Thoughts?

AM/IG vets do it better/cheaper. I'd spend as little as possible on upgrades for squishy humans -- even with flak armor, they will explode if someone looks at them funny. Only way to increase survivability there is to add in crusaders with "storm shields." Inquisitors are great, on the other hand...

Hmmm. I'd disagree that henchmen chimeras are inherently weaker - IG and henchmen chimera lists both have their advantages. You don't have to pay for flak armour too - they get that as standard. I'd typically run henchmen with just a regular bolter rather than a storm bolter, but I guess it's personal preference.

IG advantages:

Obsec
BS4
2 lasgun firing arrays at unhelpful angles
Can get orders (but this requires them to be outside a chimera)
Don't have to pay the 25pt tax of an inquisitor (but as mentioned, they aren't exactly bad units and can provide servo skulls)

Henchmen advantages:

Cheap plasma guns (10pts each compared with guard 15pts)
A 10pt psyker per unit gives the squad LD 9 and the cheapest warp charge available in THE ENTIRE GAME
Squad can have fewer bodies if desired
Chimeras cost 10pts less
Chimeras have 5 fire points (compared with the veteran's 2)
Stock henchman with bolter costs 1pt less than a veteran
Being armed with bolters allows stock henchmen to hurt AV10 and T7
Tons more unit options if desired e.g. joakero / crusaders (though most I feel they overcosted compared with the ones mentioned)

On the whole I prefer henchmen chimeras personally. I think they're a bit more point efficient and a 10pt psyker per unit is pretty handy. Have you considered psykers OP?
