This is an example of speed painting, its not a commission but its something I had a blast painting (while drinking).

The AoS models are very sweet, and Ive yet to hate painting them.

Not sure if im a fan of the nips, but thats personal taste
personally thinking of using some kinda gel like paint and fill those honey combs in and have it ooze out a bit

keep up the good work it looks great.

I agree with Desubot, I really like it and think perhaps some Realistic Water with a yellow/orange ink mixed in would really add to the honey combs

Don't those tree elf demon spirits living a wild life in the forests have any shame? Get a brassier on her quick!

Awesome painting BTW.

The honey comb as well as the skin has a Realistic Water finish (SW Scenics Realistic Water). That kind of thing is hard to capture on camera, even with a reflective light box.
I tried this time around by adding a strong light source in addition, but I still didnt quite capture in on camera. I hate saying this, but its one of those things that 'look better'
in person.

Very cool indeed. Tje honeycomb is really lovely.
I think the base stands out more than the figure though, with those bright colours. I'm not sure what to look at in particular as a focus. My eyes actually go to the arm.

I mostly dig it - two things stand out to me though:

The nips - as stated by another user, are a little off. Not poorly done, just an odd color choice, The Deamon/Elf/Spirit thing inside seems to be painted in a flesh tone, so why would the nipples not also be? Unless they are wooden? Maybe... They're odd for sure.

But enough talk of nipples and wood...

The base is the second thing that stood out to me. It's lovely, very vibrant with lots of different colors that make it look 'lively' without being too noisy. BUT - I don't like it when the basing materials like grass and foliage end before edge of base. It's like the ground itself is black plastic that somehow grew a forest. Take the base all the way to the edge - it will look much better.

Holy crap that is nice. Glad i clicked the spoiler button (really hate those).

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Yah, drunk me went a bit overboard with the base. I think sober me would have been a bit more reserved.

Although I'm married now, and Ill attempt to stay classy here, all I can say is Ive witnessed quite a few case studies on that subject in my youth and military career and that I drew from my learned experience on those as inspiration.

Saw this on your website and glad you shared it here too. Phenominal work. The new Sylvaneth models from GW are seriously making me consider starting a AoS army, easily some of the most lovely models GW has ever produced IMO.

The amazing work you put into this model is not helping my willpower at all either. Outstanding work, would love to see more Sylvaneth models done in your style.

Hey thanks for the kind words! I did pick up Alarielle the Everqueen, but Im not sure when I'll have time in between commission stuff to paint something that big. But I look forward to it, what a cool model.

After seeing a couple people comment on the model's chest, I was going to more or less say the same thing as you did! They're all aren't the same color...

All and all, it's a fantastic model, especially for speed painting. After seeing you mention it, I can make out some of the liquid in the honeycomb and it's a good touch. I'm not really a fan of the blue glowy bits, but that's more a matter of personal preference and not because of your work on them (which is fine, by the way!).
