I don't own Tau or Necrons (anymore), but I am curious just how competitive this list actually is on paper.

Your lack of MSU is going to cause some issues. Although there is a lot of potential for you to tie units up and let you Tau do some heavy lifting, there are things like SW that can really do a number to not only Tau but also just outright beat you in CC. If you were to take necrons at all I would go for more scoring obsec units that will get you mobility and durability.
