Hello all, listed here is my RSF list, looking for critique, as well as suggestions as to whether or not the Storm Wing formation should be included (roughly 440 points for the loadout I would like to run). What could be cut to include the fliers? I regularly play against KDK and Chaos (Belakor, Chaos Knight, and a Heldrake are the most serious threats).

How many points do you need to free up?

Three Librarians is a lot outside of a conclave, so drop one.

Align the weapons on your land speeders.

Does your local format allow four or five detachments?

The weapon loadouts on my speeders are designed to hit vehicles hard, as there are usually a ton of Rhinos/Predators/Knight.

I was thinking of dropping a libby, so that's no problem. I need to drop 440 points for the Storm Wing, if that's they way I'm going.

Is there any kind of limit on detachments? We just play casual/semi-competitive games.

Ok then do two multi-meltas on each speeder and suicide deep strike them, or give them typhoon and heavy bolter so they can stand-off 36-48 inches away and survive until they zoom onto objectives at the last turn. mixing engagement ranges is inefficient.

Many tournament formats limit the number of detachments, often to three. But if you're playing casual games from the rulebook there's no limit.

I find the grav guns in the formations perform the task of tank-hunting pretty well, and shut down annoying transports like Rhinos and the odd Landraider perfectly.

I want the Storm Wing formation to add some AA, as well as for some very tough units that both KDK and CSM struggle to shoot.

My own ideas for cutting points are as follows:

Remove:
Darkshroud (95 pts)
Libby Biker w/ SOH (120 pts)
MM Speeder (75 pts)
Ravenwing Attack Squadron w AC/MM (180)

This cuts 470 points, and my above list is 1845, leaving me with the need to cut 5 points to include the Storm Wing.

Do NOT drop the dark shroud. With more than 1000 points of Ravenwing it will multiply their survivability especially on those first two crucial turns. With the jink reroll, going from 3+ to 2+ doesn't just halve the number of unsaved wounds, it quarters them (1 in 36 versus 4 in 36.) Without that, your command squad will often lose more models than it kills.

Don't pay for its assault cannon tho; it'll Always Be Jinking

Against shooty armies, I agree the Darkshroud is great, but I don't feel like it's adding much to this list considering the opponents I regularly face.

I can only guess that you have already invested in the Flyers. I've never used them myself but I have only heard bad about them.
I find your army interesting and am in no way experienced enough to critique it; but I have to ask, why did you start with 3 Libbys?

I own a Stormraven and one Stormtalon right now, considering buying the second one if I go in this direction.

The three Librarians were chosen because I find Sammael (my original HQ) overcosted for what he provides. The new powers, particularly Technomancy, provide a huge boost against most of my opponent's lists, as well as providing Fearless and Hatred to squads they join (having the Deathwing special rule). They also give me some great warp charge.
