Subject: How best to strip pva flock bases?

I have a load of Orks that I based......badly.
I used standard pva glue + GWs citadel snow flock.
Any ideas on the best way to strip (all 50 of them!) with out harming their main paint work - just the bases I want to nuke!
Thanks!

Put them in water for hours. It will soften the PVA glue. Then remove the flock.
I rebased dozens of models that way.

Thanks! Warm or cold or luke warm?
What did you take the flock off with then? A rough bristle brush or?

Warm water might soften it faster, but it probably won't make much difference.
It should just peel off in a sheet, no need to scrub. Depending on how good the PVA glue is, you might even be able to peel it off without the soaking.

I tried scrubbing it off with a "rough" brush and good old finger power but no luck (dry mind you)! hehe
I'll try warm water first and see, thanks guys!
BTW, Im using good auld GW paints, the water soak wont affect the main paint job will it?

The paint won't be damaged by the water, don't worry.
You can use hot water, but usually you'll let your miniatures in for a whole night or so, so it won't make a great difference. Just don't use boiling water.
To remove the flock, I mainly used toothpicks.

So:
->Hot water soak for a few hours
-> scrub a bit with a brush or simply peel off
-> result?
