Here she is, painted up! I cannot tell you how happy I am with this conversion! For those few who missed the background; I am building a new IG army (my second) based around an amazon theme. This is a militia force, lacking a lot of the armor elements of a regular IG corps. So anyway, I wanted Nork Deddog to go with my sculpted command squad, but of course he has to be female...so here is my Ogress conversion. Yes, that's lipstick and eye shadow...and it took her like two hours to put her make-up on, but I wasn't going to say anything...Mordian blue and bronze are the basic colors. Let me know what you think.

This makes me happy, haha. I love the makeup, and the fact her face is still VERY butch. Pants, skin, and hair look great too. My only criticisms would be the sword blade is a tad boring, don't know how you feel about freehand but something could probably go there. And get that winged skull on the side of the gun, looks like you forgot it. Very fun mini besides.

@ Pax The sword is really boring. I need to do something with it...although the idea that an ogrynn is armed with just this huge chunk of steel isn't bad. I didn't miss the skull symbol...I am one of those people who gets tired of all the skulls and crap on GW stuff...so I chose to leave it the same color as the gun. I might change that.
@ Kroll Oh man, that sculpting on her vest is supposed to be a bronze breastplate, ala the rest of my amazon army! I do see how it looks like glittery spandex...I'll have to look and see if it needs fixing...although I suspect the poor pictures don't do it justice, Without a good diffuser for my light source the colors get washed out a bit.

I also just realized I have completely missed the highlights on her sword hand...sheesh, to eager to share.

Ok so I went with a generic NMM sword. It turned out decent and looks better than the flat metal. The hardest part was getting a little 3-d in, the sword is a flat piece of plasticard.
