I bought the Tau retaliation cadre and was building the commander out as Coldstar. I left the included pamphlet build instructions somewhere. Any idea where I can find a replacement?

You can always email GW for instructions, they usually give you a PDF free of charge.

Demand a replacement box from there customer service peeps. There is a good chance you'll get it.

WHY THE HELL ARE YOU USING THE COLDSTAR?!?! ITS TERRIBLE!

It is terrible, but fluffy. I like it. If they had just let it take signature systems even only a single one would be more viable.

I'm a newbie at a regular at the store asked if I wanted to "win". Or have "fun flying around shooting stuff". I went for the fun.

Not usually. They always do. No questions asked. I have done it for several kits. Seriously, GW is great when it comes to stuff like this.

OP, Don't do this. It is a major dick move and it kind of justifies GW's pricing.

As for the Coldstar, it may not be all that powerful, but is seems like a fun thing to try once. I like the appearance of the kit, and beyond the equipment being set (don't play Tau so no idea if the weapons are good), it can still be used as a regular Commander.

The weapons are good, but the problem is the two don't synergies well. It would be way better to outfit two of the same to maximize your ability to kill your chosen target.

And that is a shame. Had they actually made an effort toward giving the Coldstar synergized weapons, he might actually see use.

I don't see why they don't allow the coldstar to be fast attack and way cheaper. Doing two of these things would see it used sometimes in a casual game. Doing all of these might see it in more competitive lists and a definite take in casual games.

1. Move to fast attack. 2. Allow us to pick weapons for it. 3. Allow us to customize it and maybe only a single signature system. 4. Reduce its point cost since it's not all that great for how insanely expensive it is in the first place. Unlike the spoiled Eldar our codex has no internal balance what so ever.

Like I said, they ALWAYS deliver on something like this. And promptly (your experience resembles my own, I get the PDF less than 24 hrs after I email them).
