So i've got an old version loyalist rhino and on one of the side parts the treads have been partially removed (I got it 2nd hand and I think it was being used as a destroyed tank model, see picture) and I want to convert it into a chaos vindicator. Anyone got any ideas on how I can fix the broken treads?

Sorry for the poor quality of the picture

Under the couch

A strip of carboard or plasticard is probably the easiest option.

Otherwise, hunt down some tracks from the current rhino or chimera, chop the original track off the other side to match, and replace with the new ones...

Second what insaniak said. If you're afraid you can't get the plasticard to line up properly, glue some sand to the bottom of the treads to cover it up and paint it up as grime and muck.

I'll probably use plasticard as it seems the easiest. How well does it hold paint?
also where can i find some in Australia?

No clue as I can't even find it locally in my own country

But it's available online and a quick google search might turn up some local hobby shops that carries it.

That or ebay.

Or turn it into a hover vehicle. Or replace all the tracks with lots and lots of legs.

It's pretty easy to find at decent hobby (NOT GAME ) shops - generally those that sell regular models, and/or model trains. Takes paint pretty well, too (may require a light sanding with ultrafine sandpaper first, though -some stuff I have took paint straight off, other stuff - same maker - needed sanding.).

Whereabouts in this wide brown sunburnt land do you live - as some cities it's easier to find in than others.

This model was laminated using Evergreen styrene sheet (green label, plastic sealed baggies) that many of those hobby stores carry.

It comes in thicknesses from 0.25mm up to 2mm (possibly also 3mm). I generally use 0.25mm up to 1.5mm but I've used 2mm stuff before as well.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
