I'm working on slowly but surely painting my Betrayal at Calth box. Next up on the "finished projects" table is the Contemptor. I did magnetize the arms at the "elbows", so I can swap out the fist for the multi-melta and so forth.

Painting recipe for this is: prime black, base GW Air Leadbelcher, Minitaire Ghost Tint Blue from the bottom upwards, then Ghost Tint Plasma Fluid from the top down. Note that the more coats of Ghost Tint you do, the deeper/darker the color gets. The weathering/base colors are a mix of various browns, including Skrag Brown, and Secret Weapon weathering pigments.

This is very nice - the shade of blue is spot on IMHO. It would be nice to see some more detailing such as the scroll and possibly the knee and groin armour detail - but really that's just personal preference. An excellent job - can't wait to see the rest!

Now with 100% more blog: 'Beyond the Wall'

It would benefit a lot from some heraldry and legion iconography (I think), but still it looks really nice!

I agree with you! One of these days when I can afford I need to get the Alpha Legion transfer sheet.

Well done! The blue is great and the weathering on the legs is a good contrast! The scrolls are my sole issue, as there are no squiggles!

Looks great! Lovely weathering on the feet, and a nice shade of blue. Missing a couple details here and there, but overall, good job!
