G'day all,

I'm looking for goblin crew for a wolf chariot conversion. Anyone know of alternatives that match the GW goblin aesthetic?

I like the Night Goblin and Forest goblin aesthetic, but the old plastic common goblin models look terrible and are sort of dragging down the look of the rest of the model.

The official Wolf Chariot crew looks good, but too expensive to buy chariots just for the sake of stealing their crews. 40k gretchin look good but they'll end up expensive and limited poses because I can't use the ones that are holding guns in ways that I can't just lop them off and replace them with bows/spears/swords. Arachnarok crew look good, but I don't really want them to be Forest Goblins and they are hard to get/expensive.

I'm almost tempted to use Snotlings from the Pump Wagon, but I'm not sure if they would look too small.

Any thoughts?

This is a WIP of one of the models, I'm making 3 of them so need a total of 12 goblins. I started building them years ago and am now trying to finish them off.

Well, there are plenty of companies making goblin miniatures, Mantic comes to mind, for their game Kings of War, they look pretty decent

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

Mantic goblins aren't really the same aesthetic in the face department, and in the body department they kind of have the same weird hunch that makes GW goblins weird.

I was hoping for something that has the same aesthetic as night goblins, forest goblins and 40k gretchin, does anyone make something like that? It seems like Avatars of War does, but they only have a couple of character models, no enough to crew a chariot.

So I guess there are no other options for GW-esque goblins?

The scale is not quite right or I'd say maybe try Reaper's goblin pyros. They're a bit small though as said. Of course I think they're available in bones which makes them exceedingly easy to convert/buy to try as well. If I can dig mine up, I can get you a comparison next to a 40k ork/runt or something if you want?

Also have you looked at FW's 40k runts? they have alternative poses so maybe some would work for your use.

The only other source of goblins that I can think of off the top of my head is Iron Wind Metals Chaos Wars' line: http://ironwindmetals.com/store/index.php?cPath=365_370

They just finished a kickstarter which I think also had more goblin models, so eventually they may have more on their site that also would work, but that's a ways off of course.

Anyway, hope this helps some!
