So a question I'm sure most people don't care about; The new RG character Shadow Captain Solaq introduced with the Shadow Force box set has me a bit confused. In the Kauyon rulebook, he is not listed as being a valid HQ choice for any of the formations in the Talon Strike Force. Despite being a part of the Shadow force formation, he isn't listed as an HQ option for it.

Is this an oversight by GW or do they just not want him as an HQ? How do I go about asking them if necessary?

Shadow Force Solaq is its own Formation similar to but distinct from a regular Shadow Force Formation, with its own datasheet and specific unit requirements. The Shadow Force Formation pictured in Kauyon might picture the Shadow Captain Solaq model, but the generic Shadow Force Formation requires a generic Captain unit.

If you wish to use Shadow Captain Solaq you can do so only in Shadow Force Solaq or, I assume, as an HQ choice in the likes of a Combined Arms Detachment or Allied Detachment. That said, ask your opponents - I wouldn't likely have any issue substituting a Captain for Shadow Captain Solaq in any Ravenguard force.
