Hi, saviors of dakkadakka. We have some problems reading and interpreting the rules and the FAQs of the Horus Heresy, so fans of 30k I need to summon your help. Wich are the scoring units in HH missions?

I think that are Troops but no assigned transport, but a colleage found a Faq that says that all units are scoring units. I couldn´t read but I think that it reffers to standard rulebook missions. So, wich one is true?

-All units are scoring units.
-Only troops.
-Only troops but not transports.

Only Troops are scoring units. So your Tactical Squad is a scoring unit, but the Rhino is not.

All other units are considered denial units except swooping/zooming fliers and broken units. One cannot score an objective if their is an enemy denial unit in scoring range.

Look out for Implacable Advance, this gives certain non-Troops units the ability to score, as long as the mission allows Troops to be scoring units.

Thanks a lot. That is what I understood but some of my colleagues disagree and I prefered to ask someone else.

The only HH FAQ is this one:
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/fw_site/fw_pdfs/Horus_Heresy/Horus_Heresy_7th_Edition.pdf

As noted, in Heresy games only troops (not including dedicated transports) and units with the Implacable Advance rule are scoring.

The confusion is because in addition to their own army lists, the HH setting also has their own missions.

If you're playing a 'normal rulebook mission' then you can still use a HH army - just use one or more detachments from the rulebook, and follow the rules normally. In HH scenarios (like Shatter Strike) then follow the HH rules - only a single Age of Darkness Detachment, 25% limit on lords of war, only troops scoring, etc.
