Hey guys and girls !

I always love seeing Chaos conversions, especially chaos space marines ! As an example, As soon as I saw the new Blood Reavers from AoS I immediately thought "Khorne Cultists" and the Blood Warriors " Berzerkers" !

I am now considering doing a CSM army with Daemon allies, 100% either Slaanesh or Tzeentch and so I thought i'd see what everyone else out there has done for their Chaos armies in terms of personalizing and converting it up It would be like a long term project.

I have seen the Eternal Hunt series by Kraut Scientist and it is unreal !

So , show me your best Chaos Conversions ! ( Any God! )

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Edit:

I'll start with some of my own.

My Lord of Change made from spare bits from my Bitz Box !

An older Nurgle Forgefiend I converted up a few years ago !

Plague Marines I did a few years ago, done with a mix of FW older Mk legs and Death Guard upgrade kits. Some GW Chaos marine parts added. Done with the intention to show the varying ages of the Plague Marines, some of whom have been in service for thousands of years !

Great conversions !! I'd be happy to see models like that across from me at the gaming table.

Here are a few of mine.

Greater Daemon of Nurgle

Sculpted this one from scratch

Greater Daemon of Nurgle

I saw this cyclops figure in a craft store and reminded me of a giant Plague Bearer, so that what I aimed for

Screamers of Tzeentch

I sculpted and cast a bunch of Screamers

Heralds of Tzeentch

Sculpted and cast the Discs of Tzeentch, and found some trippy looking Mage Knight figures to use as heralds

Greater Daemon of Slaanesh

Reaper Bones Giantess, with claws and Horns sclupted

Greater Daemon of Slaanesh

Lots of random bits and green stuff

Greater Daemon of Slaanesh

OOP D&D Glabrezu model. It didn't require any conversion.

Greater Daemon of Nurgle and Beasts of Nurgle

The Greater Daemon is an actual GW Greater Daemon of Nugle, back when they weren't giant sized.
The Beasts of Nurgle are converted from Mage Knight Cryot worms. I had to sculpt the faces on them

Portal Glyph

I have a large gallery of work in progress shots for all of these, and others here

Thanks !

Funnily enough I actually saw that top Greater Daemon yesterday whilst browsing the Galleries for Daemons !

Some awesome and fun conversions there. I Especially like the Giant Plague Bearer, would make for a cool Daemon prince with the back story it was a Plague Bearer who got a lucky shank into a Chapter Master's left kidney and was rewarded by being granted Daemonhood !

Awesome work on the screamers. They are some very interesting looking sculpts !

Portal Glyph looks good too, If you sculpted those circular locking bricks I applaud you as I that would take a lot of effort to ensure it lines up and is in shape

Yesss some Thousand Sons goodness coming in.

Awesome work there especially on the Grinder and Sorcerer on Disc. Out of curiosity what did you do with the rest of the Burning Chariot kit ? I used mine to make the Exalted flamer on Chariot, and used the smaller spare disc insert ( beefed up with spikes and such ) to put the herald on.

Im extremely tempted to start up a Thousand Sons or Emperors Children army as a break from Nurgle

Do you have any plans for a Tzeentch Daemon Prince conversion ? Love looking at people's Prince ideas. Some really creative works out there.

AoS is pure garbage
Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K

Some awesome pieces coming out there.

@Loki - Awesome . Did you manage to grab any of the Tomb Kings Ushabti before they went out ? Im not entirely sure what they could be used as, but with that same awesome Egyptian style im sure something could be figured out

@Brutus - Great conversions there. How do you find storing them ? Storing the original Heldrake design is bad enough, those actually look easier in the sense they just need depth rather than width. I ended up just converting the head of mine to suit the Death Guard theme. It's been uploaded to my Deviant art account for a few years.

@Nurgle5 - The beauty of a hobby community That marine champion is looking sweet. That base model from the Fantasy range is extremely diverse. How do you mean you are rebuilding your Death Guard ? Re-visiting an old army to touch/add/fixup or starting it again ?

I myself am extremely on the fence between touching up and adding to my Death Guard, or trying my hand at another of the Gods.

The heldrakes wings are magnetized with 4mm magnets, and a 1mm pin to stop them pivoting. Head, neck and weapons are also magnetized. As is the tail.

Definitely a good move magnetizing. Sadly I wasn't quite as proficient with Magnets when I did that Heldrake so he is solid.... My warhound titan however, breaks down into Lower Legs, Upper Torso, and arms Large rare earth magnets work like a charm

wow. all those conversions (and paint level too haha) are gorgeous.....make me wish buy more miniatures to work on them...even if I know I dont need them to play haha

This is my old Nurgle prince. The main conversion beside the wings is his weapon. The sword is fine....but find this kind of weapon way more "Nurgle" xD

The deathguard conversion are more simple, only focus on add some "goo" on their heads

The terminators (I know I am very crazy buying chaos terminators haha) are msotly different pieces or heads. not a crazy conversion but at least make them look a bit different than usual ones

A renegade leman russ. not a great conversion, but since was done with paper....at least was cheap hahaha

vindicator wip (also I did it with paper haha)

Nurgle vindicare assasin....a shame I cant find this miniature...he vanished from my house.....sniff xD

Nurgle soulgrinder wip

nurgle beast wip

Nurgle lord on palanquin or "bike" wip

Nurgle daemon prince wip....But at the end surely I will use him as loodthirster (I am working on several other lesser demons and making them "followers" of nurgle haha). Still need work a lot on the pain

Those are not as cool as the other conversions I saw here...but hope you like them hahaha

Franarok, I award extra points for building card models as a base, instead of burying a space marine model in clay. It takes extra dedication and saves wads of cash.

@Soldier0Fortune Kinda both. I first started playing 40k back in 2000 with a small chaos army, when the 3.5 codex came out I converted up a Death Guard army. I stopped playing 40k around 2008 and the army went into storage. Recently I've dug them out again, so I'm rebasing and painting everything I can salvage from my older collection and converting up new minis (mostly from the WHFB nurgle lord) to replace everything else. I'll be nicking the zombie dragon head on heldrake idea btw

@Wolf_in_Human_Shape Loving those conversions. As much as I like the Berzerker kit, it's really starting to show its age.

@spiralingcadaver How did you do the mace for the first mini?

@Franarok Definitely swiping the tentacle head terminator

@Scourged Any chance of a rear view of that Helbrute?

Fantastic work here guys sincerely these are impressive.

As for the Heldrake idea, have fun and be sure to post pics

Ok guys I have had time to sit down and checkout everyone's posts properly !

@ Wolf In Human Shape – That top Khorne lord with Lightning claw/ axe is awesome. What are those pads on the upper theigh from ? Is it from the Fantasy/AOS Warshrine kit ? The Khorne lord with his hand raised would look awesome with just a pool of blood dripping from his hand down to the floor

@ Spiraling Cadaver – That top winged Terminator lord / Prince I’ve actually seen before and voted on in the Gallery. It is really an awesome conversion and paint job. Well done. I especially love the glowing effect on the mace.

@ Franarok – I love the terminator who just has a nest of tentacles for a face . The nurgle lord on Slug Bike is an awesome idea. Did you cannibalize a Maggoth kit for it or did you do it with spare parts (the mount I mean ) ?

@ Scourged – The Horror trying to leap out of the dreadnought Sarcophegus is awesome. Your Defiler conversion, I used that exact same method except I added an extra lower torso as a brass scorpion conversion at one point

@ Jehan Reznor – Awesome Tellos conversion. I have read the first book in the Soul Drinkers series, and only the start of the second.

@ Reiner – Love the Beastman monster cross defiler conversion. Ive often thought about using the Cygor part of that kit on a defiler for a Slaanesh dedicated defiler / Grinder

@ The Grumpy Eldar – I bet he is. I can tell from looking at him he wouldn’t fit into any traditional ‘slot’ trays awesome work on the flesh writing cloak. Looks like they tattooed all those words on someone then skinned them. The word bearers….they cop such a bad wrap but man are they creepy. I started reading the first Blood Angels omnibus and the Word Bearers that were on the planet in book 1 were described in amazing detail…*Shudder*. I recall there was an Apostle ( IIRC ) whipping a slave with a metal barbed hook, and the BA scout said it was as if he was whipping him a certain way to produce a tune made of screams. The concept of that has forever burnt itself into my soul haha

@ Sfshilo – Haha that is awesome. I love using spare parts to create models and that is definitely a unique prince,, all twisted up and rotty just like Nurgle likes it!

@ Jayden63 – Defiler is cool. I like the Daemonettes just hanging on the sides of it. Very colourful and bright army, I like it

That's exactly what I did and do. The bottom is a recycled Defiler and I normally run it as a Slaaneshi Soul Grinder.

I love that the Heldrake is the #1 model everyone modifies. It's a model that is pretty gak but with some great potential.

This what the mono-God Nurgle player in my group did with his, so please note, this is not mine.

Are pieces founder separately on ebay xDD. I tried get a Maggoth to make some kind of nurgle stuff....but toooo expensive xD

For example I got 2 defilers on ebay, one for 15 and other for 18. One was trasnformed on the spider soul grinder. The other is this one

I did this one waaaaaay before the chaos knightwas rleased just for fun ahahha. Also I had no green stuff.... guess now I should add more details and make a correct base. In any case I know is not a perfect or cool conversion.........but was a knight for just 18 euros muhohoho xD
