I had an idea to make my two armies based on arch enemies(it's basically a way for me to theme and narrow my choices, since anyone whose talked to me knows I'm having a heck of a time choosing my armies). So, the ones I can think of are GK and Daemons(or AS ), the SW and 1k sons, and IF vs IWs? Who else are the arch enemies out there, like the BAs hated(besides Bile?)
Edit: Put on a poll for people to vote on. What two armies should I do as my Arch Enemies?

Crimson Fists and Orks; they shattered their home, and they've never forgotten that
Also can't go without saying Yarrick and Ghazgkull - that's probably the most well known rivalry in the galaxy

DA and Crimson slaughter, so much so that both have warlord traits associated with the other. Slannesh and Harlequins have a particularly strong hate for one another, slannesh and Eldar and Dark Eldar are also mortal enemies but the harlequins moreso. Dark angels and Space Wolves I wouldnt call mortal enemies but are at odds a lot of the time

Eldar + Orks <-> Necrons. We can thank the Old Ones for this.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Farsight -> Orks. Farsight hates orks, but this isn't mutual. Automatically Appended Next Post: Tuska vs Khorne daemons. Both are content with this.

According to the original fluff it should be Khorne v Slaanesh and Nurgle v Tzeentch. They should attack one another on sight and prefer to fight one another than any other potential enemy. Now, however, they all work together and then you have the weirdness of 'chaos undivided'. But I note the daemons still have the requisite hatreds.

Necrons vs Tyranids- It's a more recent one but it counts. The Silent King encountered the 'nids while he was outside the galaxy and came running back to wake up the Necrons so that the space cockroaches didn't eat everything and ruin their plans for the galaxy.

In all fairness to the orks:
The Rynn's World incident didn't really have anything to do with the orks. A nuke basically just misfired and stuff exploded in an apparently completely random accident of such bizarre proportions that it could basically only happen if an author of fiction penned it that way.
The Snygrod WAAAGH! which subsequently ensued just made things worse.

Space Wolves and TS, most enemies in 40k have competing goals or ideologies. After what happened on Prospero these two absolutely downright hate each other, end of.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you. |

I gotta say IG and Orks. It's the single most common in fluff match up (not counting the mirror matches of Orks vs. Orks or IG vs. Rebel humans). The armies are built to kill each other, and both have a ton of options for highly diverse armies.

I would also say Eldar vs Slaanesh.
And Eldars cannot choose to ignore Slaanesh, while in theory many other arch enemies could choose to make peace or stop caring about each others.
