Hi everyone,

Played a fun Apocalypse Battle yesterday at the Warhammer store at The Summit mall in Reno yesterday. Ork Train vs. 7 Armies!

Was a great deal of fun We have been looking for a way to play a battle with the Ork Train and finally had a great opportunity.

Army list:
- Space Marines; 2 Necron armies; 2 Tau armies; Eldar army and one Chaos army.

For rules, we played that each car (7 cars on the Ork train) had the weapons and hull points of a Stompa. This balanced things pretty well. And, also gave us all lots of chances to shoot and fight

Hightlights:
- Orks went first (that was great!)
- 7 sets of Stompa weapons firing. We decided in deference to our opponents that we wouldn't team up on any one force. So, we split the attacks. This meant that we didn't take down the Eldar D weapons (which was not good tactics - but seems to us that it kept things fun)
- Created a rule that every Ork turn we'd drive the train around the tracks for a random number of seconds -- and then stop it and have 3D6 Boyz jump out and attack. This was fun because we didn't know where they Boyz would up - who they'd charge
- In the end, the 7 armies killed the train off car by car - but the Orks did take quite a few down along the way. And, they Orks are now busy regrowing (didn't hear anyone mention burning them up) - and looting the hardware from the battlefield.

To try this again, will see if we can make it faster by having some co-generals help run the train. We did that yesterday and it really helped make things faster.

Welcome any thoughts on future rules - or train ideas.
