So i just picked up the newer space marines codex and thought it might be fun to run my old blood angles from 5th or so when you could just drop a bunch of preds, as iron hands. I am kinda just getting back into this so i may be way off base but there is the formation i think armored spear or what not, sorry i dont have the book right in front of me. However where they ignore crew shaken like the iron hands, but you can drop like 5 units of preds? Has any one tried this or am i way out there. Again i haven't really played since fifth., was thinking like two tech marines on bikes following them around.

With they angels of death supplement, assuming you take the iron hands formation, they are almost as durable as necrons.

Unless you throw ID at them. Their Medusa detachment will turn Tactical Marines into Necron Immortal in durability terms. While the Chapter Master Smash is almost unstoppable without a couple of S10 or outright D or thousands upon thousands of S7 shots. Meanwhile, it effectively let your Vindicator threat range from 30inch to 36inch. As well as letting you fire two Lascannon from your Tri Las Predator when it have to manuver into position.

I would say Ironhand is awesome with the new detachment. On par with White Scar Biker spam or Gladius, or UM Skyhammer centric build.
