98 points scum & villainy

Fenn Rau
-Concord Dawn Protector
-Autothrusters
-Push the Limit

Talonbane Cobra
-Glitterstim
-Engine Upgrade
-Push the Limit

Torkil Mix
-Intel Agent
-Dorsal Turret
-Cloaking Device
-Stygium Particle Accelerator

The plan is to jump torkil around trying to set up bumps to maximize his ability until the cloaking device shorts out. The particle accelerator should help keep him alive until then. Meanwhile, cobra and fenn swoop around doing their thing. I really want to play with the idea of using Advanced proton torpedoes on fenn. But I cannot seem to easily justify the points.

Also, this list hinges heavily on the fang fighter having a great dial.

Why the Autothrusters if you are going to be rushing into Range 1?

Talonbane... you already have Fenn Rau, so why go the diet route as well?

Fenn Rau's pilot ability kinda makes APT a little.... redundant-ish?

I like the list because of three things: Fenn, Talonbane, Cloaking Device. But that is just because I like both the Aces and want to run them together and that I like Cloaking Devices in general.

I am not sure if Torkil will really pull his weight though, is the cloaking device-bumping reliable enough?

His pilot ability gives +1 die to the APT. So you're rolling 6 dice, and that's pretty terrifying if you can set it up.

For protection on the way in, and against turret shots. Autothrusters is a big deal when you're risking 3-4 dice return fire from a turret.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Apt because essentially gaining 3 auto-hits and a crit before rolling your other 2 dice (if I swapped AT for GC) is rediculous.

Even though fenn likes rushing in head on due to his title, his ability still activates if he is outside of arc. Extra damage mitigation is never a bad thing.

I've played against a torkil mux build exactly like this before in an escalation tournament. Nobody messes with him when he has extra green dice and an evade. No matter how annoying his ability may be, if he's touching you, you can't shoot him. Plus you have more threatening targets to kill, anyways.

Agreed. Concord Dawn Protector is nice, but not being shot at in the first place by barrel rolling and sidestepping an arc is better - and in that situation then Autothrusters are worth their weight in gold.

Theoretically you could even throw Guidance Chips and Fearlessness into the Bargain. Rather overdoing it for tactical usefulness, but I imagine hellishly satisfying if you actually got the shot off.....blowing up an evading TIE fighter without even letting your opponent pick up dice is rather disturbing.

Or potentially one-shotting a B-wing (You just need that crit to be a direct hit).

Q: What do you call a Dinosaur Handpuppet?
