I'll divide it into definite, probable, and improbable revelations:

Definite

Spoiler:
  • What happens when the Golden Throne fails and the Emperor's body expires

  • Who the Hive Mind really is

  • What the "Greater Good" of the Tau really is, and the true origins of the Ethereal caste

  • Probable

    Spoiler:
  • Where the Silent King of the Necrons has been

  • What Abbadon was collecting in the dark crusades, and the execution of his master plan

  • What happens in the Warp if all the Eldar are killed off, and whether that would reawaken their gods to fight the Chaos gods

  • Improbable

    Spoiler:
  • Find out what the Harlequins know about the End-Times

  • What Gork and Mork are capable of doing if manifested

  • What happens if the Void Dragon awakens

  • Whether the Necrons are able to return to flesh

  • Whether a successor to the Emperor can pull humanity together

  • Whether the Chaos Gods can be defeated and sealed away

  • I'll add more as you contribute. Let's build the list of expectations.

Difinite - Retcon of information we already knew to make more questions.

Probable - Answers to questions nobody has bothered to ask.

    Improbable -
    - What happened to the missing Primarchs?
    - Any question regarding the secrets each chapter carries.
    - Who wins?
    - Any question regarding Xenos.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Ethereal origin, definite? On the contrart, I think they'll never explain that - or even whoever created the proto-Tau back then (5000 years ago)

I think we will probably never get to know if the Alpha Legion is truly loyal to the Emperor or to Chaos.

I doubt we'd find out what Cypher is actually trying to accomplish.

I'm almost certain we'd never find out what the GK Purifiers are guarding in the Chambers of Purity.

And we wouldn't find out what exactly the Machine God is.

When the Emperor was cast down by Horus, a part of his soul was sent back in time and space. It latched onto the only living thing it could find, Voldemort style: an young Ork named Mork.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Shame the Orks never bother to keep track of their "heritage"

    To the OP:
The Emperor may never expire in the End Times - if the Illuminati are still considered canon, it is possible that they can set out starting his rebirth into something stronger than the Emperor ever was.

If the Emperor does die, on the other hand, then there will be nothing holding back the chaos gods and their daemonic armies, so the galaxy would probably be screwed

The Silent King has ventured beyond the Halo Stars, probably into a neighbouring galaxy. I doubt he would want to return to command the Necrons again. The Necrons have also been doomed eternally to live as immortals, since that's what they bargained for with the C'tan; it could be possible for the C'tan to reverse the process, but I doubt they'd want to considering they're slaves to the Necrons. Plus they are only shards of the once mighty star gods, so their power is limited.

If all Eldar were to die at once, Slaanesh would be very, very pleased, but other than that, I don't think anything will happen

Supposedly Chaos kills Chaos, since it is likely the Chaos gods would tear themselves apart if they conquered the galaxy; defeating them is a whole other question, and as you said will probably remain as improbable.

Isnt the Emperor the machine god? He is referred to as the Omnissiah in a couple of novels...

Chaos can never be truly defeated. Chaos only fades away to return

If manifested with purpose Gork and Mork could possibly be some of the most powerfull gods... it would be bad...

If the golden throne fails the emperor dies and is reborn. He is litteraly immortal. But a dark time of chaos will come before the emperor returns in full force

If the end times happen the remaining primarchs will return. They all said so. The emperor will probably insta rebirth himself and like Sigmar will have some kind of superforce with him.

The grey knights, the eclessiarchy or whatever and the adaptus custodus will go nuts about the emperors return

Abaddon will unleash his final crusade

The Eldar will reveal some kind of master last ditch effort to return yo their former glory by forming one huge alliance with Dark Eldar and clowns

The Orks will have one massive waagh party and join all the fighting

The last tendrils of the hive mind will arrive in this galaxy to feast on the massive buffet

The Tau will reveal their new technology and make one superpush into imperial space. Probably ion cannons on fire troopers or something... something oozing with cheeze

The last Tomb worls will awaken and reveal lost superunits and the Crons will try to reclaim the galaxy.

This is my guess. Just eternal war with bigger gunz :p

If the end times is anything like the Fantasy one, I hazard to guess the following will happen:

    1.) Golden throne will fail
    2.) some primarchs will return
3.) characters dying left and right in stupid ways
4.) The eldar will finally form Ynnead and then something will crap it up and they're gonna be epic D:

The rest is all up to conjecture for me.

That's one of the schools of thought among the ad mech priests, but only one of them.

It's the equivalent of "is Jesus God." To some, unequivocally; yes. To others the trinity is more complicated and to others still; no, he is the son of God only. And then some don't believe in him at all and are burned as heretics.

The Silent King is coming back. He saw Hive Fleet Leviathan headed for the Milky Way and decided to come back to wake up the Tomb World that are still asleep to help fight it back.

What harlequins know is a definite and probable at worst. They've already hinted at Cegorach's book in the black library and the seals fading. Couple that with ahriman trying to break into the black library and the story tells itself.
Their secrets are revealed during the performance not before.
