hi guys I like some help with my list for a local tournament that is coming up in about 2 weeks time. Am looking to take harlequins to this tournament because the army's that are going to be there are space marines, elder, dark elder, chaos, orks and tau so I be different from them and I hope a challenge to play against so here is my list that I have come up with.

shadowseer with the mask of secrets and mastery level 2 100pts
death jester 60pts

1st troupe with 1 fusion pistol and 5 neuro disruptor 160pts
2nd troupe with 1 fusion pistol and 5 neuro disruptor 160pts
3rd troupe with 1 fusion pistol and 5 neuro disruptor 160pts

1st starweaver 70pts
2nd starweaver 70pts
3rd starweaver 70pts

1st voidweaver with prismatic cannon 80pts
2nd voidweaver with prismatic cannon 80pts
3rd voidweaver with prismatic cannon 80pts

10 skyweavers with zephyrglaive 600pts

So you have your hero's path, but what formations are the rest of your models in? You will have to change the list around a bit to get them into formations, I would suggest a Harlequin Masque and a Faolchu's Blade.

I wouldn't take a big squad of 10 skyweavers that's way too many points into one unit, instead split it into two at the very least and maybe consider reducing the squad sizes further. That will fit it into Faolchu's Blade. You could even have two Faolchu's Blade formations each with two units of two skyweavers.

For the troupes swap out all those pistols for Kisses, Embraces or Caresses. In a unit of 6 I would give them 2 embraces and the rest kisses and maybe the Troupe Master a power sword for ap 3, this corresponds with what you get in a box

So I would rearrange into:

Hero's Path

Masque with 3 Troupes one with dedicated Starweaver and then the other two Starweavers as the two fast attack choices and a Voidweaver as the heavy support choice

Then either:

1 Faolchu's blade with 2x5 Skyweavers and a Voidweaver

Or

2 Faolchu's Blade each with 2x2 Skyweavers and 1x Voidweaver


Whatever you choose you will have some points left over so consider giving Cegorach's Rose to someone

Re-organise the list into a Masque if you can, otherwise it will be unbound.

Drop the pistols, the fleshbane AP2 is very tempting but it is a massive trap. Your infantry will die to bolter fire, a lot, and you'll find yourself running in the shooting phase anyway, and not firing your pistols (the run + charge rule is very useful).

In terms of CC weapons, the Caresses are brutal, but very expensive, so you could give you Troupe Masters all Caresses (utilising their extra attacks and great % chance of getting that 6 to hit) and then putting kisses on the rest of the troupes.

The Embrace is also a bit of a trap as it is quite tricky in practice to get all of your Harlies into B2B contact on the charge to actually get your Hammer of Wrath hits.

What others have suggested.

Falchus Blade is actually really awesome, especially if you get lucky with phantasmic psychic powers with shrouded and stealth or even just turn one night fight. Rerolling 3+ or 2+ Jinx is awesome.

Just to clarify - its not unbound...

3 troupes fill the troops choice required with 2 dedicated transports

the 10 bikes and a star weaver make up the required fast attack (or break the bikes into 2 units of 5 and move the weaver into dedicated transport status)

The void weavers form a single unit of 3 vehicles for the sole heavy support

Is it a good way to do it? its not bad - but there are better ways
