Subject: [SW] How would you build/equip 40 generic "wolf pack" guys?

I have 25 Space Wolves Pack and 15 Skyclaws new on the sprue that I'm getting ready to assemble - but I have no idea what I'm doing and it seems like there are multiple directions I can go with these guys so I thought I'd ask you fine people who have more experience than me!
It looks like they can be either:
Grey Hunters
Blood Claws
Wolf Guard
Wolf Lords / Wolf Guard Battle Leaders
Skyclaws (max 15 jetpacks)
(I am wrong and did I miss any?)
My sense is that I don't need that many Skyclaws. How many Wolf Guard do I need? How can I build/equip these 40 dudes to get max use in the following list of other stuff that I have:
1 Bjorn Dreadnaught
1 Rune Priest
1 Iron Priest (likely going to put on a Thunderwolf)
6 Thunderwolf Cavalry
5 Long Fangs (various weapons)
2 Razorbacks w/ Lascannons
1 Drop Pod
1 Stormfang (Meltas and Lascannons)
6 Wulfen (don't have these yet but I'm definitely getting some!)
Any thoughts or insights on how to load out these 40 dudes before I dive in would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't played Marines much and I know even less about Space Wolves specifically, and it depends entirely on what list structures you're using, but some basics as I understand them...
Match Tac squad specials to combis on your squad leaders, keeping them small and numerous for objective grabbing. You may need more mobility for that reason too. With lascannons and melta elswhere in the army, you may want to focus on anti-infantry. Get some grav if you don't have any. See if you can build enough heavies to reform Long Fangs to single weapon types, as mixed heavies can't always find good targets. Think about magnetizng your jump packs and experimenting with paper or card drop pods until you get a feel for what works.
That isn't as detaled as a Wolves player will be able to do, but it's a start.

Space Wolves have a few options when it comes to their playstyle so go with what you like. Some people swear by they Grey Hunters in Pods or Rhinos using them similar to how vanilla space marine players use their tactical marines. Some like using Wolf Guard in pods all armed with combi weapons to alpha strike with a lot of firepower then transitioning into a melee focused unit once their combi weapons are spent. Some like using Blood Claws and being melee focused.
Personally I think Blood/Skyclaws are where its at for the Wolves while I find Grey Hunters to be rather luster considering they lack things like tactical doctrine for those rerolls to hit. Skyclaws in particular are everything Assault Marines wish they could be as Skyclaws are cheaper, have rage and counter attack for more attacks, and can synergize with Wulfen for even more mobility or murder potential. WS3 isn't great but they hit on 4s against most standard infantry anyways and throw out tons of attacks to drown most things in volume of dice. A small 5 man bloodclaw unit in a Stormfang can be useful to drop a scoring unit onto an objective late in the game and fill a troop requirement in your army list. In general though I wouldn't recommend putting big units in your Flyers as they take forever to actually get on the field and fighting.
A unit of Grey Hunters (with 2x plasma + combi plasma) in a pod is quite useful for cutting through some high armor infantry/MC and thinning the enemy flank for your close combat units to charge in. I have tried using meltas in pods but the lack of shots and lack of rerolls to hit make melta squads unreliable against vehicles while it causes all your bolter marines to stand around doing nothing (except for the one marine throwing a krak grenade).
I would only take Wolf Lords/Battle Leaders on a Thunderwolf as it gives so much durability, mobility, and killing power for a very affordable points cost. I would suggest possibly taking a Rune Priest on a Bike or even Jump Pack as having Biomancy with your Skyclaw unit can be quite effective.

If I GH, I pod them wielding plasma.
WG are so pricey, not cost effective imo.
I would do a couple more Rune Priests.
Another Iron Priest or 2, mounted.
BC's if youre lookin at Iron Wolves...
Skyclaws are cool. They're most handy as cheap, and used for their speed more than their hardhitting potential...
I would have two units if not just one of GH tho, just cuz... they are really one of the best Tac Marines in the game all things said and done, but personally I don't find use for them over other options
