Basically I plan on running the Inquisitor at the back of my platoon blob for divination, stubborn and Ld 10. Behind that will be my CCS in the Chimera barking orders and supporting the platoon.
The veterans will be in the backfield as a stand alone support unit. I might switch their lascannon for an autocannon and power armor for the Inquisitor.

++ Astra Militarum Combined Arms Detachment ++

HQ +

Company Command Squad [1x Plasma Gun, Lascannon, Volkov's Cane, Chimera]

Troops +

Infantry Platoon:

Infantry Squad [1x Flamer], Infantry Squad [Vanilla], Infantry Squad [Vanilla]

Platoon Command Squad [Vanilla]

Veterans [Forward Sentries, 1x Lascannon]

++ Inquisitorial Detachment ++

HQ +

Ordo (whichever I feel like) Inquisitor [Bolt Pistol, Force Sword, Psyker (Mastery Level 1), Warlord]

EXACTLY 500 pts

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Love the inclusion of an Inquisitor.

If you can manage the points, I'd highly suggest seeing if you can throw some Rad Grenades on him to reduce the toughness of anyone trying to get into CC with you.

Chuck in some servo skulls, if you're playing with a decent amount of cover any sneaky-beakies will start pretty much in facehumping range, which your blob does not want.

Not sure who you will be facing with those weapon choices. Personally I would not mix heavy and speccial weapons in the same squad. Maybe move that plasma gun to the PCS?

IG + IQ can be brutal in small point games.

But your army list lacks focus. Why give the CCS both a lascannon and a Chimera? They can only use one at a time, so it is a waste of points.

Nude infantry squads are useless.

You have 2 lascannon and one force sword, which indicate that you expect vehicles/tough infantery (or even MCs) - but the rest of your army only have their flashlights.

An Inquisitor opens up for a lot of useful and cheap possibilities. But why make the Inquisitor a level 1 psyker when you can buy 3 henchmen psykers for the same cost?

My suggestion is one CCS with some special/heavy weapons (and maybe an Astropath), 2 veteran squads - one with plasma + lascannon, one with a Chimera and melta (or flamers, depending on your meta).

Then add the most cost-efficent part of IG - a Wywern. Make everything that isn't a MC or vechicle cry.

Take one Inquisitor, 3 servitors with Multi-melta and some psykers.

The CCS gives order to the veterans and fires on heavy targets. The veterans fires and the squad with Chimera provides mobility. Wywern blasts the biggest target or anything that uses cover saves. The Inquisitor detachment insta-kills anyting with T4 within 24 inches, and is a threat against anything with AV. The psykers cast divination on whoever needs it most.
