The idea is wulfens go on board as murderpack formation and all rune priests as wyrmstorm. Ulrik goes with no battleleader hunters in last drop pod and deepstrikes t2 as per unleashed rule. Bjorn goes in first in range of something bigger and long fangs locate next to him. The other hunters footslog and cap objectives or just grab some wounds.

Does this make sense and what psychic powers shoul i take for my Wyrdstorm formation?

If your FLGS allows Forgeworld I'd invest in a Lucius Pattern Drop Pod for Bjorn, he's a lot of points for something that is going to attract the attention of every shooting unit until he expires.

The Lucius pod doesn't have the rule that forces him to disembark on the turn he arrives meaning that your opponent will have to shoot the pod to ruin before they can shoot Bjorn, it also means that Bjorn can assault out of the pod the next turn if it happens to survive.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

What would you drop for drop pod? (pun intended)

Lucius Pattern costs 50 points.
Bjorn's Pod + Locator Beacon 50 points.
You'd lose the Locator Beacon but it's only good for one other pod and you'd lose the Storm Bolter but you'd be able to shoot from the safety of an open topped vehicle until you get to charge out of it on the next turn

Sounds like good idea thank you.

Any hints about what psychic powers i should take for the Wyrdstorm? I am extremly newbie and do not know what is best.

Looking at your list I'd guess your Priests will be dropping in or hanging back.

Personally I'd actually ditch the Priest with the Bite of Fenris to free up 95 points and use those points to purchase Bikes for two of your remaining Rune Priests and Runic Armour and the Helm of Durfast for one of the bikers, I'd give the bikers and Njal Tempestas table powers, the Bikers because they'll be mobile menaces, blasting away with Living Storm and Living Lightning in the Psychic phase then turbo-boosting out of range or Line of Sight in the Shooting phase, Njal because he can re-roll one failed attempt at manifesting Tempestas powers, just makes it easier to save dice to spread the pain.

The reason I'd push for the Helm of Durfast is that it re-rolls Failed to Hit and grants Ignores Cover, that means any failed rolls become an extra chance of getting shock on Living Lightning or the Living storm and that on average makes up for the extra D6 you'd lose from the extra Priest.

The last Priest I'd roll on both the Divination and Sanctic Daemonology trees, you want Forewarning 4++ for the unit or Sanctuary 6++ for the models without Storm Shields, 2++ for the modes with them, if you get either of those put the Psyker in with a pack of Wulfen to help them survive the turn between the Drop Pod Landing and them actually getting to attack. If you don't get either Forewarning or Sanctuary trade whatever Divination Power you get for the Divination Primaris power and slot him in with the Long Fangs, re-rolling Fail to Hit with heavy artillery is great.

On the subject of the Long Fangs I'd remove their Drop Pod and put it in the fast attack slot with the other one so you can choose to use it with the Long Fangs or a squad of Wulfen depending on what you're up against, heavy weapons are reduced to snap-fire after any kind of movement so it's usually better to set the Long Fangs up with no intention of moving them.

Hope I've improved on your basic plan rather than changing it.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Wow, this is very good indeed. I did not think about bikes, also as i understand, those priests do not have to be a unit to be formation?

True. Lets you skip the Living Storm about and hopefully cause some indecision over which Rune Priest needs killing the most.

That was true for a short while between the start of seventh and the release of Codex: Space Wolves or the Space Wolves 7th ed codex.
