Need some help from Necron players in setting up my Reclamation Legion. What is the best weapon for Tomb Blades?
Thanks in advance

Gauss Blasters easily. TL AP4 Ignores Cover is pretty cool and allows easier handling of vehicles. Plus it makes for easier cleanup when you charge with them (I'm aggressive and love charging them against targets they can win against. They're durable enough that being shot at doesn't matter to me and creates target saturation).

Just to expand a little, as the current codex stands, gauss is better than the alternatives in any instance where you expect the unit to be in rapid fire range for at least half the game. About the only units I don't use gauss on are my Immortals because I tend to keep them back to guard objectives in my deployment zone. They almost never get within 12" of the enemy, does slightly more damage on average over the course of the game. Tomb Blades shouldn't have any problem getting in RF range.

Thanks for that info! I'll definitely keep that in mind!

Tesla Carbines get 1 hit per shot statistically. Gauss Blasters get 0.67 hits. That means that from 12"-24" Gauss Blasters score 2/3 the hits of a Tesla Carbine, while from 1"-12" they score 1/3 _more_ hits.
This means that, unless the target has a 4+ to no armour save or is a vehicle, Tesla Carbines are 50% superior within 12"-24" and 33% inferior from 1"-12".
Necrons are designed as a midrange shooting army. Tesla allows you to maintain that midrange without loss of efficiency.

The main use of that particular unit however is to either charge and tie something up or to zoom out and grab a far off objective, the gauss helps the unit kill a tank through gauss+HOW+attacks.

I particularly like the Nebuloscope Particle Beamers... just for easily applied, ignores cover, blasts. I know it's not competitive but I just freaking love em.
Also this probably belongs in Tactics.
