So AoS has been getting a lot more attention with the general's handbook (the book with the points in) and their global campaign is helping too.
There are 2 clubs in my city; one has gotten a AoS group going (by running the global campaign, there wasn't much fantasy before) and the other (where I'm at) has a group of KoW players (we just had a campaign, which was good and went well). The guys at my club are not very keen on AoS (I personally don't mind playing AoS if asked, but would rather play KoW). So 2 clubs, only one of the two systems being played at each.

Are clubs/gaming groups polarized where you are too?

The group that I am in continues to blithely ignore AoS, and I see no sign of that changing any time soon.

The changes to the style of the minis seems to mean that they aren't even picking up the figures for use in KoW. (I actually think that the Orruk look okay, but the orc players seem to be gravitating to the 'official' KoW orcs, with Reaper character models.)

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

I don't know anyone who plays AoS.

Our KoW group is slowly growing.

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

I spent a lot of money getting the old Fantasy stuff before it was discontinued...but I have no desire to get any of the AoS stuff except the mini Treeman guys...

I can still remember when a box of 30 Space Marines was $30.00. Now THAT'S old school! In fact, I started playing in the Rogue Trader days...yes, I am that old. Played Warhammer Fantasy for years before Rogue Trader even came out...

No KoW at my store at all. AoS has had a resurgence.

I don't play at a store, but my local clubs have both pretty much ignored AoS handbook or no.

9th age, Kings of War, WM/H and X-wing, infinity, Flames of War and epic pretty much all take up any slack there might be for AoS.

The general disdain for the look of most of the new AoS models pretty much fuelled it, though. (for the most part, they don't care about unit stats if the model is pox).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
