Subject: Daemon Pysker Question!
|
 |
Been Around the Block

So I recently got the Curse Of The Wulfen supplement and was curious about the updated daemon psychic disciplines.
Since each discipline has 3 more powers than the original daemon codex, and the original stated that a daemon may roll up to half of their powers on the appropriate table (so if using the original dex, you'd get primaris for free and could get 2 of the 3 others max) and now you still get primaris free and can roll up to 3 of the 6 others max? (I realize that this will probably never matter as you cant buy mastery level 4 or higher but just wanted to confirm).
And then I wasn't sure how this worked with Kairos. His two heads of fate rule states that both heads know all powers from the change discipline which before was the primaris, and the other 3. Does this mean if you own the Wulfen supplement that Kairos knows all 6 now? I'm aware that Kairos couldn't roll on the new Tzeentch warlord table as his profile trait is Lord of Unreality in the original dex which can't be changed but wasn't sure about the change discipline.
Couldn't find any other posts or faqs on this so not sure if the solution is known or not. Appreciate any help, thank you!

The half max only checkes the psyker level of the daemon, not the number of powers in the discipline. So even with 6 powers a Daemon psyker still only rolls half of its psyker level on its god's table (which would be at most 2 from the Psyker Level 3) And yes Fateweaver knows all 7 powers from the Change Disciple because that is what the Change Discipline is now.

I thought the Draft Chaos Daemons FAQ removed this requirement
Check out the Draft FAQs thread (many pages) for a direct link to the FB page.

I think the core rulebook one made mention of Psychic Focus regarding Daemonology (namely how Chaos Daemons can't get Psychic Focus on it or something) so they clarified that. I don't remember the actual clarification though, just that it boiled down to more or less "discuss with your opponent" or something along those lines.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |
