This has me sitting at 1735 pts. So I have 115 pts I can add in somewhere. Please note I factored in the free gear already so I didn't add those on. I am debating adding another onager to the list, but I feel I dont need even more AA then I already have. Thoughts and input?

Coteaz and another vanguard is probably what I would add.

Also why the phosphoenix on the vanguard alpha? I know they are mid-short range guys but you really don't want them within 6" as they are pretty bad in combat.

Oops that was meant to go on a rust stalker princep. Coteaz alone?

I agree another 10 man vanguard squad is useful.

You already have the omniscient mask on the ruststalker princeps and i wouldn't give it anything ranged anyway.

I find plasma calivers work much better on vanguard than rangers. Personally i'd make them 10 man squads as well as it makes it a lot harder for the opponent to chew through 5+ basic models before killing your special weapons.

Totally down to my individual preference but i find ballistari with autocannons are better than dragoons with the jezzails.

With regards to another icarus array onager - don't see them as purely anti air, they'll make eldar players cry too but more importantly still be effective against ground targets, the 5 shot ignores cover rockets can still gets a hit or two and avoid jinking with ignore cover, or blast a pesky shrouded 2+ cover model.

Grey Knights - 3500pts
SKitarii - 4000pts
Ad mech - 2000pts
Imperial Knights - 1000pts
Black Templars - 3200pts
Genestealer cults - 1750

Yeah I like coteaz alone. The reroll on seize for you or to make your opponent reroll is huge when you need that first turn to get stealth and shrouded with the canticles or to set up for the alpha strike. Plus having some minor physic defense is nice in an army with none stock.

Also the phosphoenix can't be taken by the rust stalker either. I like to take the pater radium with my vanguard alpha because they have the native -1 toughness so forcing that toughness test can be key with a weak CC unit.

I would join the tech priest and coteaz to a unit of destroyers for majority t5 and let the priest tank up front as those grav guys are high priority targets.

As for my rangers I like to either kit them out with 2x Arc rifles and a arc pistol with the pater radium for a mean haywire unit or snipers and arkahns divinatior for a objective camper.

I personally love the unit of dragoons. They are mean vs vehicles even super heavies with the right canticles. They can take a knight down in 1 turn on the charge. Only thing is with the AP - some units it takes them a while to hurt to be careful.

With the war convocation as most of the troop choices are done for you the customization comes with wargear so try a bunch of different things out and see what fits your play style best.

Hmmm, assuming I take coteaz what psychic table should I roll on?

Also, thoughts on dropping the assassin and fitting in a unit of Kastelan Robots?

With the Culexus and Coteaz option you should keep them far apart. I like taking an Imperial bunker with an escape hatch to throw my Culexus where he is needed. An Ammo dump is also handing giving units nearby rerolls on 1's when you've used your canticales up. Also a good place to camp some destroyers to keep them protected while the other destroyer unit has the priest to offer some tanking.
3-5 man Dragoon units are awesome and fast as hell. If your opponent doesn't know much about them make them pay.
A cheap Xenos inquisitor with 3 servoe skulls and all the grenades is also a good idea. Keeps scouting and infiltrating units at bay and can also make your CC unit stronger with rad and psyk nades.

If there's even one deathstar in your group, the Culexus and the Knight are your best shot at beating it.

But you should consider bringing a second Imperial Knight. Without the drop pod option, a second Knight may now be the most competitive War Convocation option.

First off thank you to you guys for giving me pointers!

I would ideally take a 2nd knight but the format does not allow more then one LOW.

Another idea I have been turning is taking a Knight Atrapos instead of the crusader.

I think I am sold on taking the assasin as I have zero anti psychic without him.

Still leaves me with 115pts. So I would go the route of Coteaz, or get a cheap as chips Inquisitor for servo skulls and a I do like an Imperial bunker to plop the destroyers in.
