Sus’ej

There was a sense of pride in the dimly lighted room which was filled with memorabilia of the First and Second Sphere’s of Expansions. Large photos of the first settled Septs such as Tau’n, D’yanoi, Bork’an, and Dal’yth were spread throughout the large room. Pictures of famous Ethereals aiding other races into believing, accepting, and acknowledging the Greater Good. A holographic image of the ZFR Horizon Accelerator Engine was the chandler of the room, as it was the main invention that lead to the Second Sphere of Expansion. Even with all of the memorabilia the room would be incomplete if not for the statue of the Honorable Commander Puretide!

Aun’vre Tau Sus’ej was one of five Ethereals gathered in the Aun room. He was the main source of pride that could be felt as they were well aware of the magnitude that a speech from Aun'va could have not only for Tau but for every living thing. They all waited patiently for the image of Aun’Va to appear on the monitor. After two short hours the Tau Ethereal Supreme emerged on the screen and Sus’ej pride morphed into something better, the Greater Good. When Aun’Va spoke the first thing Sus’ej recognize was the power in his voice, combine with his choice of words to believe in anything other than the Greater Good was not only illogical but foolish. Sus’ej imagined his entire race hearing this inspirational speech, every Sept world, colony, and space station would be motivated and at its end the Third Sphere Expansion was launched!

Its only two paragraphs I wanted to see if it has a Tau feel to it before I write something huge and its not Tau like to the reader.

The sense of pride in the room turned into nervousness for the other Ethereals. The Ethereal Supreme wanted to address each Ethereal individually. Aun’va knew that without the correct spiritual guidance of his kind the Third Sphere Expansion would require even more sacrifice. Sus’ej was not nervous at all he patiently waited for his turn to be addressed by Aun’va! He did not understand why the others were nervous they like him were trained to remind the Fire Caste, Earth Caste, Water Caste, and the Air Caste that there is the Greater Good and nothing else. If the Greater Good is in you than there is nothing to fear, he wanted to recite this popular saying to his fellow Ethereals but the urge to speak was decapitated by his rank. Who would dare speak when the physical manifestation of the Tau’va is expected? The lights in the room dimmed than a beamed of light shined on one of the Ethereals. Sus’ej could not hear the conversation due to the pounding of his heart and whatever was being said was not meant for him. The lights dimmed again and this time the light reflected off of Sus’ej robes as it was his turn to face the Greater Good.

Sus’ej was expecting Aun’va to say something but instead there was silence. He stared into Aun’va eyes with pride wanting him to test him somehow with a question of faith to the Greater Good. Sus’ej was unaware of the fire in his eyes, and how impressed Aun’va was by it. Seconds became minutes as what was suppose to be a short assessment turn into a stare down! The Ethereal Supreme vs Aun’vre Tau Sus’ej, Aunva was well aware that the young Ethereal was a prodigy earning the rank of Vre during training was unheard of. Aun’va listen to the debates Sus’ej had with other Ethereals and there was no doubt that Sus’ej was destine for Greatness, Aun'va did not like that he was destine to serve the Greater Good! Sus’ej after thirty minutes of silence realized that the Aun’va was admiring the Greater Good that was in his eyes. He had won several debates when he had this advantage but should he use it now against Aun’va! Sus’ej took a deep breathe and gathered his thoughts and he finally thought of a way to end the awkward silence!

“My name is Aun’Vre Tau Sus’ej the Greater Good has given me the strength to speak.” when he spoke gasp could be heard in the room by his fellow brethren. Sus’ej had anticipated their reaction and use this time to calm himself.

‘I like all Tau, no like all creation have a purpose. Many spend their entire life searching for their purpose, some even find their purpose and fight against it, but I do not. I embrace my purpose, everyone in this room embrace their purpose’, he paused as he realized the audacity of his next statement would be considered distasteful by some but he cared little for he was speaking the truth!

He raised his armed and pointed his fingers at the screen before saying, ‘Even you the Ethereal Supreme embrace this purpose and that purpose is to serve the Greater Good. I do not need you or anyone else as a reminder of my purpose which is the Greater Good. As a Aun’Vre I have earned the right to serve and I wish to serve immediately!”. The other Ethereals lost their discipline and started to mumble with each other, there was even anger in the eyes of one Ethereal how dare he talk to his superior in such a manner but, Aun’va Simply smiled as he listen to the young Ethereal’s bold statement.

Aun’va was able to regain order in the room without a word as the drone made adjustments to fit his entire frame in the holographic image as he stood up to speak. The entire room grew silent as the volume was clearly increased so that everyone in the room could hear, “You are now Aun’El Tau Sus’ej report to Sept World Emerica there the Greater Good that you know will be tested but like all challenges that we fathom can be defeated by the Greater Good. The Greater Good is never tested only our belief in the Greater Good is tested, I see you Sus’ej and you see me and because of your vision you can become me!” Aun’va looked away from the drone and nodded and instantly two senior Ethereals entered the room and escorted Sus'ej to what was to become his personal Orca!
