Yaho,

Reviewing the FAQ's terrain section and reminded of a recent event which could have degenerated into a full blown argument had the charge been less than 11:

1. Dreadnought charges bastion surrounded by Aegis Defence Line in Imperial StrongPoint
2. as it must cross ADL, reduces charge distance by 2, nothing new there.
With the Terrain FAQ section saying you can't walk through walls, how does it incorporate the 'hop' over the ADL wall?

Two obvious possibilities, neither of which I can find a ruling to support:
a. -4: 2 inches traveled up one side and down the other
b. reduce the distance measured by a diagonal on both sides - Pythagoras says this would add anything from one to three inches charge distance depending on how close you were to the wall, and how far your target was from it.

Thoughts?

I would not measure distance for hopping over an Aegis line. If you had to scale a wall to get to an elevated position on the other side, then I'd count the distance. If you had to hop over a building - go up to the roof and back down to charge something on the other side - I'd count measure the distance up but that's never happened in 8 years playing 40k.

Good point, but the wall measurement question still applies I think

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.
