So I have just started playing World of Tanks and while I enjoy the game, I am getting tired of the lunacy of random battles.
Are there any fellow Dakkanauts that play, and if so do you have a regular team or clan that you play with?

Get used to it, if you want to get higher tiers the random battle grind is the only way, though platooning with mates helps. Good luck ( I play on EU server)

Yeah, too bad you're on an EU server, it would be fun to play together.

Platooning is cool, I have yet to get a headset; I think that would make things more coordinated.

I play on the NA server, but jump randomly between East and West depending on lag as well as users.

Also play a bit of WoWs as well which is my focus right now as I am grinding in anticipation of the new German BB line.

Back to WoT. Don't play enough regularly to be part of a clan and only do random in game platoons. Currently grinding one of the US Heavy lines.

Anecdotally from what I see in random game play, get a good 3 man platoon and you can do much better than average and yes headset and teamspeak is a must for effective platooning.

Can confirm: 3-player Sexton II platoons are best platoons.

I am really bad at platooning. I am so accustomed to carrying the whole team that my brain does not know how to comprehend teamwork.

Just platoon with 3 Russian heavies and you should win. xD

Triple IS-3 platoons win tier 10 games.

I used to play. My back gave out after carrying pubbies for so long and I got tired of the awful balance and increasingly expensive premiums. Missions were a good idea that I was enjoying until you got the ridiculous ones like set two tanks on fire one tier above you.

I play Armored Warfare now for my tank fix, but even then I'm not playing nearly as much.

I play once and a while still. Public matches can really sap your soul sometimes.

But then when you have those good games, it almost balances it out lol.
