Hey there!

I thought I'd show the progress of my Imperial Knights Renegade Box, as I'm converting them into Dark Mechanicum Knights. I personally enjoy every and all Knight conversions which are just different from the standard one, so maybe this will be an inspiration to one or the other. If not, I hope you still enioy!

Progress so far:

Knight #1:

Knight #2:

First a little introduction: I've never been a huge fan of the Imperial Knigts when they were released... Too huge, too expensive, pay2win, you name it.
But as time went in, I startend liking them. When Forge World decided to give us rules for a chaotic version oft the Knight, I startend planning the conversion. When the Imperial Knights Renegade Box a.k.a. "buy one Knight, geht one for free", I couldn't resist and bought the box with huge discount from eBay.
Since then (it's been some weeks now...) I'm making only small progress to be honest.
I want to be able to field the Knights as Renegade Knights with 2 Gatlings, Chaos Knights, or Knights Warden for my New project Dark Mechanicum War Convocation. That means I hat to magnetize Thema, which I never really did before.
But now, as this part is done, I can focus in the fun stuff, the armour plates. Here are some pics of the progress so far:

Naked (nothing special here, every Knight looks like this without its armour):

Magnetization job:

Magnets in action (I decided to leave out the shield which shows the house the Knight belongs to, as I feel this doesn't fit the Dark Mechanicum theme at all. Instead, some kind of searchlight/whatever/thingy took its place.

Now onto the fun part, the armour. You can really do whatever you want here, sky's the limit. These are some plates I already finished:

And some WIP armour:

Hope you guys enjoy, I'll keep this thread updated as I make progress.

Unless this is a spot- the- difference thing, I'm pretty those aren't all the pictures you wanted to put up.

Oh, I just realized, something went totally wrong with the links... I shouldn't do such stuff on my mobile.
Fixed now.

Real nice work so far.. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread, there's some inspiring stuff going on here. I might have to go with some of this stuff when I continue expanding my knight force with the last two knights, as I already have plans on the first three in progress.

It's been a while, but I made some serious progress modelling my Chaos Knights! Only the big "neck" plates need some more structure work - besides them, there are only some details and finishing touches left. Right onto pics!

Weapons are just examples of course, as I magnetized all of them.
Hope you guys enjoy.
