Subject: Need a three-player battleplan!

So there are three of us down for a game of AOS at a club near me this Thursday due to an uneven amount of players, can anyone suggest any good battleplans that involve three separate forces?
Army sizes will be reasonably small, no more than 1000 but could be trimmed down further I'm sure, but we're fielding different factions so I feel like having two players allied as a combined force wouldn't feel right.

I think there was one in the flesheaters book where two factions are fighting and the flesheaters come in from the side to interrupt.

In order for a 3 player not to eventually feel like 2v1 you need to have good options for all players.
I would suggest have 1 player take 2k and be holding a fort/battlement with two gates.
Then you split the forces to take the gates.
With random game initiative, it would be very interesting to see how a true 3 player game played.
Also - you could play a version of capture the flag with each player having an objective to hold/defend. 1st one to cap and bring back to a certain point at the end of a turn wins?

I think CTF might be a good shout, especially as none of us have 2k's worth of models at present. The problem with CTF will be avoiding it just becoming a massive clusterfeth, perhaps by starting with 500 points each and 500 of reinforcements that can come on a 4+ roll (for example).
The other query I've got is how to handle three way combat, perhaps the player whose turn it is attacks first as normal and the other two roll for initiative and then proceed in that order (within the combat phase).

rules for this are in the GHB. They have a full set of rules for triumph and treachery (multiplayer battles)
