Here is just an idea because I have most. Of these models with very few exceptions. With this detachment I can waaagh! Every turn including the first. Lots of fast MSU. And just for fun a Megaboss with the stick attached to the mandatory manz with Mek for challenge soaking

Just going through it quickly, why are your Deffkoptas 50 pts each instead of 30 pts? Even if you had 3 in each group it should be 90 pts instead of 100 pts.

Or have been I cheating for the last few weeks... haha.

I'm running a hyper "competitive" double Waaagh Band list with 199 models. The most success I've had from all of the "tax" that comes with this detachment is 2 Megabosses in 2 units of Artillery as my backfield objective campers (some games they move forward aggressively with slow and purposeful).

And as many solo koptas as I can fit: 14 Deffkoptas in my current list. That being said, you can't run 14 since you are running a solo core army, but you do have 2 unused slots of Aux. If you want to do groups of 2 that's fine, but that also means you have to pass a 7LD check every time you lose a model. I'm not a fan of that.

Another thing I'm not a fan of it that many models in a single trukk with no invulns (looking at you 5 MANz and a WB). I know the detachment doesn't give you much leeway but I'd avoid all of that unnecessary focus fire. I also realize you want to keep a Speed Freak theme going so Artillery isn't going to mesh with your playstyle.

My suggestion:
Bump up the Warbiker squads and min/max your Deffkoptas.
I don't know the math behind it but try something like:

1 Deffkopta (x6)

4-5x Warbikes (x4)

3man MANz + Warboss in BW or Trukk, (Whatever you have the points or models for)

Personally I just run the 3 Nobz for 54 pts as a tax that hide out of LOS. 3 Nobz are easier to hide than 10 Boyz/Gretchin (sometimes).

Thanks for the input. I'll revamp the list a little. The number of models I have is a limiting factor.

I know that feeling. But building a few Deffkoptas here and there isn't too bad.
