Pleasure Sacrifice to Slaanesh

Hi all, after a five year break, I am making my way back. I have a few boxes of csm's, a chaos pred, one defiler, and a few other things. I love slaanesh and would love to play them again but wanted your opinion first
Besides lore, models and our primarch, what's not to love about shooting love music at enemies. So, my question are, how viable are they, are they competitive and fun to play?
I thank you all for your feedback and advice.

Noise Marines are the second best Cult Marine but stupendously bad compared to Plague Marines. Defines are also garbage.

Thank you. I am assuming that I can still make an all EC army like in 5th and 6th?
Or is that not an option any more?

Kinda.
You can take Noise Marines as troops in your main FOC if it contains Lucius or a chaos lord with mark of Slaanesh, but you can't give sonic weapons to anything other than those Noise Marines (not even to the lord).

Maybe look into playing 30k if there are people playing in you community. Emperors Children have pretty good Legion rules, and are probably one of the Traitor Legions (along with the Wrd Bearers) where you can use the plastic chaos marine models and still be 'fluff accurate' since the EC went full chaos pretty early on.

Definitely fun to play, definitely expensive to make! Great to see on the table though as you don't see too many armies. I usually run nurgle but I do hybrid sometimes and have 2 squads of noise marines I switch in with a Slaneesh lord to get the troop choice. I've found them ok tbh, expensive points wise as I'm all sonic blaster + blast-master but have been good in a rhino as a 5 man squad (you can take the blastmaster still at 5 men and shoot from hatch). I have used larger squads camped behind walls etc holding objectives and this can work well too, its great when you firing loads of shots (through walls at a unit who's trying to assualt you but is being blocked by terrain and your rhino.
The downside is man they don't come cheap and can be wiped out fairly swiftly with T4.

A Plague Marine will never let you down... he can't call into work sick! |
