Looking for critique on my 500 point list, and what I may want to add/change for 750.

5x Skitarii Rangers- 125
- Ranger Alpha
- Omnispex
- 2x Transuranic arquebus

5x Skitarii Rangers- 125

-2x Transuranic arquebus

10x Skitarii Vanguard- 160
- Vanguard Alpha (Warlord)
- 2x Plasma caliver

Sydonian Dragoons- 90
- Sydonian Dragoon

Total:500 points.

You have filled everything required of the maniple which is good.

The vanguard list is bare bones but should do a pisspot full of damage. When you go to 750 I would add a few more points in the form of 2 arcrifles. Expect these guy's to be your opponents number 1 priority.

Rangers are solid - maybe add 1 or 2 more to each squad when you get the points. 5 guy's is awfully squishy.

I am not sure about the Dragoons - the potential to do amazing things is there but more often than not the will just run into some wolf riders or orks and then they are gone. I am sure it is just me but they never seemed to be all that great. Mind you I feel the same about war walkers and killa kans so it may be personal bias.

Solid list - how are you going to paint them up?

I was able to get my first league game in today against Space Wolves- and won! We were playing Cloak and Dagger and I won 7-6.

You were right about the vanguard. I was worried that my Warlord with zero upgrades would mean an easy Slay the Warlord for my opponent, but that wasn't really the case. My opponent eventually did kill my Warlord, but by that point it was looking well for me. Granting preferred enemy to the unit was really nice. Instead of 2 arcrifles, I'm looking to add that third plasma caliver.

The Rangers were really nice. They did exactly what they needed to, which was to sit back on objectives and shoot stuff. The snipers got me First Blood by exploding a transport.

Dragoons were kinda lacking, but did come in handy around turn 3 when my opponent brought in his Lone Wolf via Deep Strike next to my Rangers. I'll probably change them to a Dunecrawler and try to add one or two more at 750. It's too bad about the Dragoons though. Maybe they'll be better around 1500 where I can run multiple units.
