I'm sure this has been addressed here on Dakka, but this question came up during play this week.

If a squad is in the process of falling back and it comes within 6" of a Dirge-Caster, do they regroup or do they keep falling back?

Anyone have an idea of this one?

Well, models within Dirge Caster range become Fearless. I would say that they regroup automatically at the start of your turn. It works the same as the Sister act of faith that makes the unit Fearless. If that unit is falling back and becomes Fearless then the Automatically regroup at the start of their turn.

Current Armies: Blood Angels, Imperial Guard (40k), Skorne, Retribution (Warmachine), Vampire Counts (Fantasy)

Adding weight to Mahu's response:

The first line of the Fearless USR is "Fearless units never have to fall back".  So yes, you'd stop falling back.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

Thanks for the input, guys. I think from now on, I'm using the Dirge-Casters for my LatD.

Oh, HELLS yes.  I'd run 'em too, except I'm vehicle free and loving it.

If you're feeling really sassy, throw a demagogue in there too.

You can take Legion-specific traits in an LatD army (it's in one of the FAQs), but all Space Marine stuff that you take has to follow the rules for that legion.  It doesn't change your force org chart at all (man, what I could do with 9 troop slots!), but all of the other rules apply.  The Word Bearer's demagogue ability is one of the nicest ones.

-=Edit=-  I'm neither wise nor mighty.  Thanks for thinking it, though.
