The Chosen of Ahriman and a unit of Rubric marines/terminators within 6" of the Chosen can choose to move "per the Deep Strike rules" instead of normal infantry movement.  Do you think this unit can benefit from a model with a Teleport Homer and therefore not deviate if landing within 6" of a model with a Homer?

Thanks,

Gorthrax

Anybody have an opinion on this one?

I'd say no. They move per the deepstrike rules, which is not the terminator form of teleporting.

I can't see an argument that they teleport, so how could it be legal?

If they are not teleporting then what are they doing... riding the city bus to work?

Loved by many!!! Don't you know it too! Heh.

Running REALLY fast. See everybody thinks the key is some kind of psychic power, but it really is just a key that the chosen use to wind up rubric marines like clockwork toys.

The rule says that they are rmoved from play and re-enter the battlefield via Deep Strike Rules, if everything else that uses the Deepstrike rules uses Teleport Homers than the same has to apply.

Fluffy? No. Unfair? Yes. RAW? Absolutley.

Er, when has anybody ever claimed that their Assault Marines can deep strike and use a teleport homer to guide them?

No where in either the deepstrike or Teleport homer rules does it say that the homers work with deepstrike. Special units such as Terminators and Deathwatch killteams deepstrike via teleporting. Teleporting is mentioned in their rules.
If the Chosen ability doesn't mention teleporting, then they may not use the advantage of teleport homers.

Ops, my bad.

Even the Chaos Codex specifies that the unit must be teleporting. Can I claim temporary insanity?

No. But we will accept perminent stupidity!

It's a completely understandable oversight, but it does seem pretty clear.
