So with the glut of shoulder pads that recently came out with the deathwatch box, it got me to thinking what pads are or were available in the past?

I'm thinking of who I might want to have form part of my deathwatch kill team.

We know there are pads for all the founding legions.

But what other chapters have previously had love?

And who else has had love in the form of transfers etc.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Are you asking which legions have had space marines in the Deathwatch?
If so, I believe every chapter, including successor chapters, can be asked for a member or members to join the Deathwatch.

If this is not what you were asking then... I don't know, sorry.

I think he's asking what chapters have had shoulderpads with molded icons - i.e. the new Deathwatch sprue comes with 17 or so different chapters, if you wanted options to expand the squad, what other kits or sprues would provide raised details (so you have the entire unit / army with molded detail instead of some with molded and some with flat transfers / freehand).

Since I think all the chapters that had the upgrade sprues are already in the DW kit, I'd guess you might get better luck from Forgeworld?

It's not an easy question to answer. Apart from the fact that I don't know/cannot remember what shoulder bits were previously available, there's also the issue of a single sculpt working for multiple chapters (e.g., Imperial Fists and Crimson Fists) and that I don't know the symbols for all the chapters.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a bit pack previously available for chapter heraldry that is not also currently available in the new DW kits (I'm not taking FW into account).

Iron hands have their own moulded shoulder pads, not sure if they are included.

For added variety, Chapterhouse studio makes (made?) a variety of SM shoulder pads, but I do not know if they still do.

IH are First Founding. Also, one of the Overkill DW characters is from the Iron Hands.
