We are proud to announce that were working on our first PREPAINTED terrain set - DESERT ROCKS. These are final drawings for the sculptors to prepare the samples, then mass production. That is very nice looking, not sure how useful in a game, but very nice looking.

Loved the sketches - but the samples look nowhere near as good. Nothing like dry sand covered rocks - but ore like styrofoam pieces dipped in wet paint :(

Having lived and traveled around the SW USA, I've seen plenty that look like what they did with the painting.. but.. I'm in the camp that just doesn't see these as particularly useful for anything other than blocking terrain..

Usually in the areas that have standing rocks there are also huge boulders and arches. I also think if you're going to do pre-painted, maybe do something that the average person couldn't do with a couple of sheets of dollar store foam board and an afternoon with some craft paint.

But seriously, the terrain I'd be likely to buy would be stuff I couldn't/couldn't be bothered to build. I don't see an awful lot of appeal to this.

Those desert rocks looks like a good companion set to the OOP GF9 Badlands terrain.

As a deal with the mat I might be interested. Saves having to get the right paint colors and such. It would have to be pretty cheap though.
