I threw some of these together to inspire some folks on the Oldhammer Community facebook page. I'll probably do some more. Quite fun. Anyone from the 90's will immediately recognize the format which graced every White Dwarf back cover and a lot of the rulebook/codex inside covers etc.

very nicely done indeed

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

You need to have more staged fights. One of my favorite pastimes reading those in the day was to figure out who was going to win is those little set piece pictures.

And you did hit the nostalgia dead center with these, very authentic!

Yeah, sadly I only have Eldar models...no opponents as of yet (and likely may never have any!). I fully concur though. I think every single person who looked at those was thinking "Pffttt...no way can the Orks beat two squads of Terminators..." etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I couldn't even begin to tell you anything about photographs. I use a crap camera and some pretty crap lighting...then I just try to save the pictures using GIMP (a free type of Photoshop). Zero actual experience or knowledge regarding taking pictures.

Keezus, thanks. I've been collecting building a rather large army over the past six months. My gallery here on Dakka shows most of them.

Nurgle, that's precisely the look I was going for. This is an example of the old picture style you'd see on every White Dwarf back cover, the inside of many codexes etc.
