Hey everyone, there's a tournament coming up and I'm trying to put together a fun alpha strike 1500 point list, here's what I've got in mind:

-Captain Sicarius
-Librarian Tigurius
-10 Man Tac squad with Heavy Flamer, Grav Gun, 30th Anniversary Marine with Dis Gun, Sarge with Chainsword and Combi flamer - Rhino dedicated transport
-10 Man Tac Squad with Missile Launcher, Grav Gun, Sarge with Chainsword and Bolter - Rhino dedicated transport
-5 Man Assasult Squad with Flamer
-5 man Dev squad with Grav Cannons and Amps - Drop Pod dedicated transport
-Centurion Dev Squad with Grav Cannons and Amps - Drop Pod dedicated transport
-Thunderfire Cannon

That comes to 1480, so I'm not sure what to do with the remaining 20 points...maybe Hunter Killer missile on each Rhino? I'm also toying with the idea of dropping the Tacs down to 5 man each, dropping Sicarius, and bringing in a Knight Paladin.

Do you have 7 pods? A battle Demi-company in Pods might be right up your alley.

Alas, I only have the 2 pods.

Really hard to make a good alpha strike list without a good number of pods. I'd recommend dropping Captain Sicarius at the very least. Also, codex Marines don't get heavy flamers.

Good catch, I missed the fine print that it was for Sternguard and Legion of the Damned only.

I know it's not "pure" alpha strike, but my plan was to infiltrate the combi-flamer tac squad 12" from the enemy HQ (thanks to Sicarius' Battle Forged Heroes special rule), put the pods down near any other juicy targets, have the T-fire back them up from a distance, and use the assault squad and other rhino squad to cap objectives. Tigurius will be there using psychic shenanigans as usual.
