Just saw this KS on TMP & thought peeps would be interested:

Basically it's 10mmm embossed Styrofoam sheets which can be cut into walls or fortifications. They also have door & window add-ons to complete the look:
BTW I am not affiliated to this company in any way (in fact today is the first day I've come across them).

Yup, you can definitely do it DIY, but at ~£3/sheet pre done it might save a lot of time.

Ive been doing this kind of stuff lately, even bought a soldering iron to do some texture work. I'll be honest, with 2 kids and a full time job I would love to cut out several hours of busy work. Though honestly I would rather throw money at the press they are using rather than the Styrofoam itself. If they could market that, then I would be all over it.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for the share on Dakka bubber. We're starting with a fantasy/historical theme, but we plan to do other genres. The main aim of this KS is to build the press and the first sets of plates.
