I have seen some wwetahering like mud and scratches. I was curious if anyone had any tips painting weathering on a painted stripe like in the new DW rhino where the red stripe looks like scratches have made the paint come off?

GW has a few interesting videos about using weathering paints, if that's what you're looking for. Here you have a few:

1. Chipping & Scratches: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MbQMwnjqik
2. Battle damage and weathering effects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyuPxJG5kFc
3. Corrosion effect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nN1tu4pSSig&list=PLEaPE4sLDA7sz88mEPjWHpR0eGF65a4y7&index=3
4. Oxide effect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw3iLEW1P2o&index=5&list=PLEaPE4sLDA7sz88mEPjWHpR0eGF65a4y7

On the other side, the War Gamer and Doctor Fausts Painting Clinic (Both in youtube) are a great source of videos about painting too:

1. Mud: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgqUasRzuL0
2. Rust: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqZclvXEgto

I hope this helps you and, for a last advice practicing the effects: Almost 99% of the times less is more. Try to practice without hiding the miniature with the effects, the more subtle, the better. (You can always increase the amount later, but not to hide it)
