In short is there a rules supplement that will allow my Chaos Space Marines to ally with Imperial Guard as Battle brothers? If so please point out the reference to which I may need to purchase said rules supplement, thank you folks!

No. Though you can get pretty similar with heretics list from forge world IA. Close enough to IG to work with.

On moon miranda.

IA 13 and IA Vraks have Guard equivalent Chaos forces that are BB's with CSM's, but nothing that makes the direct IG codex BB's with CSM's

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

So what are the differences? I can assume no orders ability to begin with?

they have different abilities, units can be dedicated to various gods, there's a very old school Doctrine style system, most units are BS2 and cheaper than IG equivalents but can be upgraded to BS3 to make them the same cost. They have some different units available to them like plague zombies and daemon engines, but will have pretty much all the same tanks and unit upgrades in most instances.

Yeah its got some pretty sweet stuff, plus IA13 has CSM units too if you run them (like the Fire Raptor)

Lack of orders but you save a lot of points on everything. Even if brought up to par with IG infantry, so long as your squads are maxed out they end up being cheaper. They can get really dirty with artillery using the Purge detachment which gives you extra elites and heavy support as well as making all blast weapons templates create dangerous (maybe difficult) terrain where they go off, + take Ordinance Tyrant out of Valks and some of the artillery counts as elites.
Other than that Valks also has unending horde which allows dead infantry to come back to life and out flank on a 2+

Honestly, they're a lot of fun if you're into converting (what drew me to them) and can be a solid army once you get the hang of them

As noted, you can make them pretty much whatever you like. Man-for-man, they're generally worse than guardsmen, but can be upgraded to be on par (or better).

They do a nice line in hordes, massed artillery, or (using the Imperial Armour 13) sort-of-stormtroopers.

Their biggest weakness is probably morale; their leadership is random and potentially quite bad. There are ways around this, but ultimately nothing which is as good and cost effective as attached priests or commissars.

And yes, no orders. Vox-casters are still a thing but are an insurance policy against screwing up your random leadership instead.

I wonder why GW proper hasn't created a IG/AM book for Chaos. Clearly, half the army (later renamed the Guard) followed the Chaos legions during the heresy - there's surely some time-warped from that time still about as well as planetary forces/imperial guard that go rogue from time to time...

It never ends well

Not marines, would require lots of basic guy sized releases when GW is more interested in creating elite+ sized releases. And "there's AM codex already. Use that". Nevermind ally levels are horrible

Isn't it called Imperial Armour 13 & 5 2nd Edition?

He said GW proper. Aka not FW.

FW rules are generally superior(as in more interesting and balanced good, not "I'm going to wipe you with my underpriced units" good) but more expensive and less widely accepted so guess there's reason to hope for GW itself to release one.

Main difference is lack of commissars, the infantry is worse (but can be upgraded), no formations (Unending Host is a detachments), and different upgrades for commanders. LatD play considerably better than IG.
