Bounding Assault Marine

running amok, against the reality of defeat

I'm quite fond of the tragic background of the Thousand Sons, and how, while Magnas was tring to do good, It did the most damage and, well, we know the rest of the story.

Anyway, I have been doing in depth study on the World Eaters and I have a very simple question: Did The World Eaters ever have a chance in being a real wecomed Legion? Mean to say, with the nutjob they had for a father, no real intervention by Malcador or The Emperor or even anothger Primarch saying "um, brothers, I think our brother Angron is swinging at the fences...

And as a second consideration, a friend is convinced that if Magnas had said, Load every ship we have with every warrior we have, and set corse for Terra. I need to go to my Father!" And went to terra and kinda, I don't know, knelt down and said, I'm sorry for wrecking your what have you. Does anyone think that the big E would maybe have forgiven him and his Legion? I mean before the wolves got to Prospreao?

For the first question, they were damned as soon as Angron got the Butchers Nails. Even if they found a way to reign it in, they still would have had a primarch that hated the Emperor for what he did.

For the second, if Magnus got a huge fleet full of space marines and headed for Terra, that'd be even worse for him. Imagine you're the Emperor, your son just broke your entire life's work when a rebellion sparks and now he's b-lining for your capital with his entire army. That's a huge threat, and would be eliminated ASAP. Let's say he does get to the Emperor, I think he would forgive him because he needed the extra legion. HOWEVER they would still be on horrible terms and Magnus would get severely punished for ruining the webway plan.

Once again, we march to war, for Victory or Death!

If big E hadn't let Angron's buddies get slaughtered while refusing to let him help then he might have been a little less pissed.

They were all damned thousands of years before the primarchs were ever born. The Emperor can plan thousands and thousands of years into the future, as evidenced by his influencing the creation of the Mechanicum. The actions of the primarchs, the horus heresy, the emperor being stuck in the Golden Throne is all planned thousands of years ahead of time. This is why he lets glaringly dangerous, and stupid things happen. Not because he's lazy or blind to what's going on, but because it's all be planned to happen.
