at my local gaming club we are going to play a little 40k campaign. Altough all other players are playing 40k armies, I got the permission to play my 30k IF´s. I wanted to know what you guys think about it, additional how would this list go against other 30k lists ???
HQ
Centurion (95pts)
Power Armour
Consul
Master of Signal
Ok, as harsh as it sounds, I think your list will not due well against 40k as well as Heresy armys.
First of all our list has a very low body-count for 2000 points. It also lacks good counters against AV14.
Also you are very vulnerable against AP3. Artificer Armour for 10 points each at your Sergeants will give your troops more resiliance against shooting.
From your choice of veterans as Troops I think you use Pride of the Legion. In this regard your two veteran squads are way to expencive and will stil die way to quick.
Also why take a heavy flamer for extra 5 points each if you have marksman and thus no rule difference between a regular and heavy flamer?
Sigismund + Templar + Apothecarii(?) in the Spartan will be nearly half the points of your army in one basket. (In addition the Templars won't need a vexillia in this case as they are fearless due to Sigismund)
In 40K were many armys have the possibility to easily bypass the flare shield you will have a way to slow unit which can be gun downed easily.
Also one single Contemptor or Leviatan Dreadnought in close Combat with the unit will most likely ruin your day.

yeah i get ur points but i really want to play sigismund(its one of my most favourite chars)
So i tried to build the rest of my army around him.
I have to admit i´ve never played with 30k marines just watched some battreps on youtube. To me the units per se seems pretty strong but as said i´ve never played with them so i have no experience
as soon as i am home again i´ll try to make another list
Btw. you have some tipps on how i could play sigi??
This seems to be the misconception that plagues many lists of new Heresy players (and especialy IF). If you write a Heresy List it is far more advisable to build it from the core and chose a general theme for your army and than flavour it with special units instead of going the "normal 40k route", meaning you first pick the most heavy hitting unit and adding "necessary compulsory choices" afterwards.
For example: If you realy want to play Sigi and company, go with a "Tempel of Oath" theme. It would be a highly Elite, close Combat Army.
You could take the "Stone Gauntlet" Rite of War. And than march / Land Raider drive into the enemy as one big Wall of Breaching shilds with Sigismund in the center.

Use the new ROW that lets any infantry buy the ability to teleport (counts as deep strike gives them shrouded the turn they arrive and makes everyopne nearby take a blind test).
Take 2 vet squads in rhinos with 2 heavy bolters each using marksman. They will have to outflank anyway since you cant have vehicles start on the table
Have sigi and the templars teleport in with the apothecary, they get shrouded.
Take as many heavy support squads as you can with the rest of your points, focuss on lascannons, ml and then autocannon, IF get tank hunter on heavy support squads.
Do not use that useless tank called a spartan, they are pretty toys meant for 30k in fluffy lists. In 40k you take one and you are better off shaking hands with your opponent and conceding before you put your models down.

thx for the answers so far ok since my last post i wrote many lists
watched for some other 2k IF point lists and considered your suggestions
in the end i favoured these 2 lists the most
Spoiler:

Legion Tactical Squad (150pts)
Exchange their Bolters for a Chainsword or Combat Blade, 9x Legion Tactical Space Marines (90pts)
Legion Tactical Sergeant (25pts)
Artificer Armour (10pts), Power Fist (15pts)
Legion Tactical Squad (135pts)
9x Legion Tactical Space Marines (90pts)
Legion Tactical Sergeant (10pts)
Combi-Weapon (10pts), Power Armour
Legion Tactical Squad (135pts)
9x Legion Tactical Space Marines (90pts)
Legion Tactical Sergeant (10pts)
Combi-Weapon (10pts), Power Armour
Legion Veteran Tactical Squad (255pts)
2x Heavy Bolter and Suspensor Web (40pts), Legion Rhino Armoured Carrier (35pts), 9x Legion Veteran Space Marines (108pts), Marksmen
Legion Veteran Sergeant (20pts)
Artificer Armour (10pts), Power Weapon (10pts)
Legion Heavy Support Squad (245pts)
Lascannons (100pts), 4x Legion Space Marines (80pts)
Legion Sergeant (10pts)
Artificer Armour (10pts)
Legion Heavy Support Squad (185pts)
4x Legion Space Marines (80pts), Volkite Culverin (50pts)
Legion Sergeant
Power Armour
Legion Land Raider Battle Squadron (230pts)
Legion Land Raider Proteus (230pts)
Explorator Augury Web (50pts)
The first list has more bodies.
spartan with sigi + templar and the 2 vet squads rushing forward
my 3 tac squads(depending on my enemy) stay back and hold/get objectives(the one wthccw supports the templar and the vet squads)
quad launcher and mortis are bringing some additional firepower
second list has less bodies
proteus with augury web ensure the arriving from all of my units at the second turn(hopefully)
quad launcher, 5 lasca´s, 5 volkite´s bringing some firepower (volkites or autocanons ?? what i´ve read so far most people prefer volkites)
the assault squad should bring some mobility(+ additional targets when sigi and the vets arrive)
The armies don t have to be super strong, just decent so i don´t get smashed by every other player
Im afraid i cant really see a tactic to either list, they both seem a bit all over the place. If they are what you want to use and you feel its fluffy and are happy, choose either. Be aware that neither list will do particularly well against 40k armies i expect unless you are playing the lame ducks.
Also why flamers? and if its for the rending why not give the rest of the squad combie flamers cos you are only gonna get to use that trick once may as well make it count.
