Hello all!

I am new to the world of Warhammer and I have just started a Space Wolf army. As I began painting them and educating myself further on the Sons of Russ, I realized that Space Wolves really should be Grey. I wanted to ask your opinions. I have base coated almost my whole army so that is a bummer but id rather have the right color scheme. Opinions? Thanks for your help. I have posted them below.

This should help you out:

It's more of a blueish grey, but you'll see that when you follow this you end up with that iconic look of Space Wolf Power Armour; so far your models are well on the way to reaching that, so no need to worry about your basecoat

Happy Painting!

Just a quick tip, be sure to thin your paints down plenty if you choose to do those highlights (they're optional but help a lot in defining the miniature) - you can also practice edge highlighting on bits of sprue till you're confident to try it on your models; practice makes perfect

I almost forgot - welcome to DakkaDakka! Hope you enjoy your stay

Apologies if you already know this, but 1st founding chapters often have a 30k colour, and a 40k colour. Space Wolves armour was grey in 30k, and the blue grey that you have painted yours in 40k. What you have done so far looks great .

I believe he's referring to the actual wolves? I say screw it and keep them as they are, they're painted nicely.

Gotcha covered on that one if that's what he means:

But I agree, from what I can see, they look decent
