Short wars is a skirmish game centered around small companies of miniatures that go off exploring and raiding their neighbors territories under orders from their local lords and kings.

You form your company around a hero and support him with champions, mages, soldiers and units for hire.

The current version of rules are available to down load for free here. The rules are still in development and will change over time with play-testing and the introduction of new units.

We are making our current ranges of Goblins and Halflings available as well as a few small surprises. The Original range of miniatures was sculpted by Kev Adams (The Goblin Master).

We have Halflings and Goblins that use the same bodies and weapons but with a head swap make a completely different army. These form the core of the current Shortwars miniatures but future plans are for Dwarves, Gnomes and an otherworldly race called 'The Pestilence'.

We have also added some previously retired miniatures to our catalogue. These are miniatures that have been previously available from other companies but are now OOP and the rights to produce have been acquired by Shortwars. At 28mm scale, these miniatures are suitable for Shortwars and other tabletop war games and can be added to your pledge via the 'Add ons' section.

These miniatures are cast in white metal, with the exception of the Ogres/Trolls and Cauldron Catapult which are resin. They also have small parts and require assembly and so may not be suitable for young children.

Some nice sculpts there. I like witch hunter halfling myself.
