Greetings all.

I'm looking to expand my daemons to 2000 points. Currently I'd like to stick to something simple, just building on the current 1850 list, rather than rebuilding it from the ground up with the new formations and whatnot.

With that in mind, how would you spend 150 extra points on this list?

Possibilities are: Heldrake, another herald, a fortification, something else??

I think an Heldrake would be a great addition to get rid of all these jinking bikes/jetbikes.

I do like the list a lot though (see my post below)

Get the curse of the Wulfen too ... it just improves the deamon book so much !

Another unit of screamers or hounds would be a safe bet. I can't think of many situations where I'd regret having a 150 point unit of either option

Actually, you need more Horrors and Paradox on one of the Heralds. This list has is basically 2 Death Stars and 2 FMCs, it needs at least another Troop and more WC to support them. With Paradox you can guarantee that you conjured more units to be distractions.

Thanks for the thoughts fellas. Not quite sure which way I want to take it at this point. More screamers would certainly be a tasty addition, to run interference for the hounds, open up transports and whatnot.

On the other hand, more horrors is not a bad idea at all... Another obsec troop unit is handy, as is the extra warp charge. Not sure what else I really want to cast mind you. It tends to be limited to invisibility, shrouding, summoning, perhaps a shriek. Although I haven't played with this army in a while, so I'm pretty rusty. Plus Fateweaver has an even wider selection of powers these days!

On the subject of paradox: I could certainly find a way to fit it in (even at 1850), but is it worthwhile? A guaranteed summon per turn is certainly good, but it seems like a good way to lose a herald to perils of the warp pretty quickly.

Of course the other option is to bin the whole idea off altogether and start building a Tetrad/tallyband, but I'm not sure which has more bite...

If you're torn between more Horrors or more Screamers, fielding more Horrors may end up getting you more Screamers via Incursion.
The Draft FAQ for Daemons confirms that Chaos psykers benefit from both Chaos & Psychic focus. So if all you Horrors roll Malefic, they will have Flicker fire, Summoning AND whatever you rolled.

WIth more horrors, the Heralds and Fateweaver, you should have no issue rolling Incursion if you really want more Screamers.

As for Tallyband/Tetrad. that is my go-to Daemon list now, but both are about equally competitive. The benefit of Hound-rush Screamer str is better board control, while Tetrad is not reliant on Grimoire/Invis going off

Basically just a trimmed down version of the same. I dropped some flesh hounds to fit in paradox, and the cultists got a couple of goodies because I had odd points left over. Cheers all!
